Treasurer’s report: Ryan Zinkel appearing as acting Treasurer for Mark Miller.

Ryan explains that the Friends of SACS is in a good and healthy position, in large part because there are generous donors, participant and members, staff are frugal, and the existing assets are well invested. Ryan ran through the profit and loss statements and balance sheets for 2010 and gave 2009 data for frame of reference. He also gave balance information as of the end of April,

2011. The upward trend on our assets is in part due to increased value of investments. Overall net worth is higher than 2 years ago even with expenses for renovation and paying Dot’s salary.

Supervisors Report: Wendy explained he original Florence Heimbecker bequest of $400,000.

Wendy also described the many activities taking place through the Activity Center. Birthday bashes, Jeanine’s lunches, cooking and craft classes. How the center has thrived despite city staff position cuts. Marion has seen increased participation in line dancing and the introduction of Zumba classes. There continue to be card clubs and computer tutoring. Volunteers are now teaching craft classes. There are pancake breakfasts and bingo. People have shared their

“bucket lists” and have been accomplishing them including a skydiving trip. There was a trip to

Key Largo. SACS members have been involved with Chamber events, worked with JMKAC, the Mayor’s Concert Series brat frys, catered the Progressive open house, and participated in the

4 th of July parade. Even after another staff position cut, the volunteers, business partners and staff have stepped up to provide classes. There was an art trip to England, and we hosted a presentation from the CEO of Festival Foods. Many accomplishments and awards to be proud of. Dot, while working 8 hours a week started the volunteer coordinators network with over 100 volunteers. 76 volunteers contributed 4,800 hours. Awards. Evie Prevaness was the volunteer of the year, SACS was nominated for non-profit of the year by the Sheboygan Chamber, we had

5 medalists and the Badger State Games, JoAnn Halbach was the volunteer of the year at
