Let’s sing a ”Weather song ” (DVD song) Topic and aim of the lesson: As you understand today we’ll speak about seasons and weather and what people like doing in every seasons. The topic of our lesson is “Every weather has its charm”. (Slide 1) At the lesson we’ll dramatize poems about weather and seasons, make up sentences and we’ll write letters. Vocabulary Revision: Riddles (Slide 3) №1 The weather is cold. It is often snowy. The days are short and the nights are long. You can see snow everywhere. The rivers and lakes freeze and we can go skating and skiing. №2 It is a very nice season. The weather is fine, it is warm. There are many green trees in the streets, in the parks and in the yards. Sometimes it rains, but as usual the sun shines brightly. The birds come back from the hot countries and make their nests. №3 It is hot or warm. The days are long and the nights are short. There are many green trees and nice flowers in the parks and in the squares in summer. The pupils don't go to school, they have got their summer holidays. №4 It is cool. The weather is changeable. It often rains. The days become shorter and the nights become longer. The birds fly to the South. There are yellow, red, brown leaves everywhere. It is time for school. How many seasons are there? V. Matching: Let’s revise the words which can help you to describe the weather. What can the weather be like? Match the parts of the words and say when is it sunny, cloudy, rainy. He wants to come to Ukraine and he wants to know what the weather is like in Ukraine and what you like doing . And he says about himself. So listen and put a tick near the activities he likes doing.
