DELTA FOUNDERS SCHOLARSHIP
2016 AWARD POLICY
Mission Statement:
DELTA Resources, Inc. was founded in the year 2000 with the corporate philosophy of
delivering quality products to customers. Accomplishing this goal requires an educated
workforce. The future success of DELTA, the community, and the overall prosperity of
our economy relies heavily on the educational system and its accessibility to students.
However, the rising cost of college limits its accessibility to some students. In furtherance
of the goal of an educated workforce and in honor of DELTA’s 10th anniversary in 2010,
DELTA created the DELTA Founders Scholarship program for children of DELTA
employees. By providing the DELTA Founders Scholarship, DELTA partners with our
employees to aid students in achieving their educational goals and honors DELTA’s
founders: the late Robert R. ”Bob” Elseth, LCDR USNR; Maria Proestou; and Kevin
Mills.
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
1.
Be a high school senior, a college undergraduate, or a graduate student. (Home
school seniors and GED students are eligible if the student will receive his/her

Plan to enroll, or be enrolled, in an accredited college or university in furtherance
of a degree for the award year. Students attending tuition-free colleges are not
eligible.

not eligible to apply.
A DELTA Founders Scholarship recipient may apply for subsequent scholarships as long
as he/she continues to meet the eligibility criteria; however, prior scholarship winners
will receive no special preference during award consideration.
Scholarship Award:
The overall number and value of scholarships awarded may vary from year to year,
depending upon the funds available and the number of applicants for any given year. The
