July 2015 Autumn term Indigo2 trip The first day of term will be Thursday 3rd September 2015 On the evening of Thursday 9th July pupils in Key Stage 2 attended a concert at the O2. The opportunity was given to us by the ‘Charlton Athletic community Trust’ after they had heard one of our pupil’s sing at the ‘One goal’ launch. Zuriel, who is a pupil in year 6 agreed to sing at the event and impressed the organisers so much that he was asked to perform with Rixton at the concert. Summer Fair A very successful Summer Fair was held after school on Thursday 3rd July. There were a range of stalls including face painting, bouncy castles, pedal karts, splat the rat, spin the wheel, tombola and spin the wheel. As always the food and drink stall also proved to be very popular! There were some impressive performances in the arena from some of the pupils who attend Band, Ballet, Zumba and Taekwon-Do clubs We would like to give a massive thank you to the following companies for their generous donations to the raffle. Asda Charlton, The Cornerstone Café, London Stone properties, WH Smith, Poundland, London Big Bus tour, Wilkinsons, Argos, JD Sports, Boots Charlton, The River Roamer, Very and The Brooklyn Bowl We would also like to thank ‘Charlton Athletic Community Trust’ for lending us their inflatable football goal for the penalty shoot-out. With five coaches travelling from the school and over 360 tickets being handed out to pupils, family and friends of the school it was an amazing atmosphere with children and staff had an amazing evening. A big thank you goes to all the adults who helped the occasion to be a big success. We wish him luck as he goes on the European tour with the ‘Thriller Live’ cast over the Summer.
