A group of employees whose teamwork significantly contributed to improving quality based on our goals, budget and/or mission. A project team who is responsible for successfully implementing and completing a project that met either internal or external customer needs. Team award scoring will include how projects met timelines and budget constraints (when applicable). Leadership Award of the Quarter The Leadership award will be given to those who have proven to be a role model, and have implemented these traits in their everyday work life. Many times a leader has the ability to turn negative behaviors into positive productive behaviors. A take charge person who inspired and motivated their co-workers to overcome a specific challenge during the quarter. Service Champion Award of the Quarter This award is designed to recognize employees for excellence in the delivery of customer service to CDTA’s external and internal customers. It relies on the keen eyes and ears of co-workers and customers to recognize and nominate those who consistently display qualities that exceed our organization’s customer service standards. Qualities of a service champion may include delivering service with a positive attitude, courtesy, knowledge, and with a timely response and follow up action that exceeds the standard. May portray one employee delivering this service to one of their peers or to one of our outside customers or vendors. Outside the Box Award of the Quarter Recognizes a CDTA employee who thinks like an “INNOVATOR”. They have successfully introduced a new efficient, effective way of doing something at CDTA. This award is for an employee who develops a new and improved concept/ plan/ program that contributes to maintaining or increasing the quality of service while reducing and or sustaining costs. Saved A Buck Award of the Quarter Recognizes a CDTA employee who may not necessarily be a “bean counter”, but acts in a way that can help CDTA to save money in these lean times. The employee has gone out of his/her way to adhere to and/or recommend new efficiencies in current processes to help cut costs. This employee exemplifies the “do more with less” attitude by using materials more efficiently, completing work assignments in a timeframe that is lower than pre-established, and/or proactively recommends methods to implement cost savings to their Manager/Superintendent/Supervisor. This person demonstrates an exceptional commitment to CDTA’s profitability. On The Street Award of the Quarter Recognizes a CDTA employee who has demonstrated an unselfish devotion in working with and assisting Outside organizations, charities, and people in our community. CDTA Customers This employee’s effort has made CDTA stand out in the community as an organization who cares and is committed to putting people first. Rookie of the Quarter Recognizes a CDTA employee who has been with CDTA for at least 3 months and not more than two years that has consistently demonstrated sustained outstanding performance, an adherence to work rules, and an outstanding customer and team-oriented attitude. This person has taken on the CDTA spirit and is, in a short time, successfully contributing to the achievement of organizational goals.
