This form is used for all new topic proposals which require approval by the relevant School Board.
Changes to existing topics can be completed on the Change to an Existing Topic Form

New topics must be developed according to the: Course and Topic Development, Approval and
Management policy; and the Evaluation, Monitoring and Review of Academic Programs and
Teaching policy.

All documents must be saved using the following file name convention:
topic code_new topic (e.g. PARA8009_new topic)
School of Health Sciences:
The completed topic change form should be submitted by email in Word format (refer note
above) to the relevant Administrative Coordinator (Teaching & Learning), in the Faculty of
Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences Office, according to topic code. The form will then be
forwarded to the Executive Officer, Board of Studies in the School, for approval.
School of Medicine:
The completed topic change form should be submitted by email in Word format (refer note
above) to the relevant Administrative Coordinator (Teaching & Learning) in the Faculty of
Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences Office, according to topic code. The form will then be
