Nordic Transport Workers’ Federation is looking to hire a coordinator/researcher
The Nordic Transport Workers’ Federation (NTF), comprises of 47 Nordic trade unions within
transport sector in Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Sweden, and Finland, organising workers in civil
aviation, road freight, ports, railroad, public transport, fisheries, and terminals and warehouses. NTFs
main objectives include coordinating affiliated unions’ positions on Nordic, European and
international issues, promoting the interests of transport workers in the labour market, working
against social dumping, and encouraging mutual assistance between member organisations that are
affected by conflicts by deciding on sympathy actions. NTF is also actively involved in conducting a
broad organizing program in the Baltic region.
NTF is now looking to hire a coordinator/researcher to the secretariat comprising of three persons,
situated in central Stockholm.
As a coordinator/researcher you are the hub of our organizing work in the Baltics, in our EWC work,
you conduct mapping and research, you assist our member organisations and develop good relations
with them. You will also be a contact person and develop cooperation with European and
International Transport Workers’ Federations in relevant questions.
NTF is looking for a person with experience of international work who is fluent in Swedish and English
in written and spoken form. Knowledge of Finnish, and academic education is a merit. You should be
able to work independently, take initiative, and focus on solutions. We expect you to share the
values of the labour and union movements.
The job involves travel, mainly in the Nordic and Baltic regions.
This is a full time position on a permanent contract. Start date according to agreement. We have
collective agreement.
