Fatih University is an institution with more than 15,000 students from
various branches and the highest number of international students (from

Application form completely filled up.
Attested copy of high school diploma (must be in English or
Turkish). Those who have not received their diploma yet must
bring an official certificate showing their prospective date of
graduation. “Certificate of Equivalence of Diploma”, which the
candidates must either from Turkish Ministry of Education or the
Embassies from their country will be required later during the
registration.
Copy of exam result (except for those accepted with high school
diploma).

STEP 1: Online Application: Passport, Diploma, Transcript, National or
International Exam Results (optional) will be uploaded to the system
during online application process.
Application Procedure
STEP 2: Admission Decisions and Submissions: An official e-mail will be
sent to admitted students only. Notification will not be provided to nonadmitted students.
STEP 3: Submitting refundable pre-registration deposit: When you accept
your offer of admission, you will be asked to submit an enrollment
deposit which is 1000 Dollars for pre-registration. The money is
refundable and will be deducted from the total fee of the department
while registration. You can send the money, by money order payable to
the Fatih University [1] with the applicant's name and last name as it is
written in your passport. Since international money transferring process
will take about a week, we strongly recommend you to keep the bank
receipt and send a softcopy to us.
STEP 4: Mailing acceptance letters: After you got acceptance and we
receive the bank receipt, the acceptance letter will be send your e-mail
address. In case you need a hard copy for visa, you should inform us by email within your post address, on time.

Most of the departments have two parallel programs; one at which all
courses are instructed in English and another one at which all courses are
instructed in Turkish.

At Fatih University the system is fairly flexible and Erasmus / Exchange

EXCHANGE STUDENTS INFORMATION
Health Insurance
Requirements
Students holding a Turkish Residency Permit for more than 6 months will
automatically be registered at the Turkish Social Security Institution
through the centralized system. At a national level however, the Turkish
Government requires that all international students get a mandatory
local health insurance policy with the Turkish Social Security Institution

(SGK) to enable them to benefit health insurance while in Turkey.
Students are responsible for their own monthly payments of health
insurance contributions which is approximately 35 TL.
The insurance will be valid until the end of the academic year. In order to
activate the medical insurance, students should go the local health
authority with:

Accommodation
Fatih University provide accommodation opportunity to International
students with its 7 dormitories- 4 for female, 3 for male students. Two of
these residences are located in the campus for male freshman students.
Out-of-campus dormitories are located in neighbourhood and they have
shuttle bus services to campus on school days.
The dormitories offer breakfast, shuttle bus service to campus, wireless
connection, access to the world TV channels, ping pong facilities.
Besides, there are study room, living rooms, canteens, laundries and car
parks for the convenience of its residents.

Housing application is taken during the application process and it is
confirmed again before the semester starts. If you are interested in

How students Apply for
Accommodation


The Housing Office arrange in which dormitory Erasmus students
are going to be placed and this information convey to students
before semester starts.
There is no single room in the dormitories because of excessive
demand.
You will be informed about the monthly fee during the
application. You will be paying the same daily fee with regular
students but with different paying method. There is no down
payment for Erasmus student. So, monthly fee will be more than
regular students.

The dormitory fee must be paid within first week of each month
in cash, credit card is not acceptable.
 If you would like to leave dormitory for any case, you should
decide until 7th of related month, in this case you will be
charged only for a week. If you stay more than 7 days and leave
the dormitory, you must pay whole amount of related month
The preliminary applications to our dormitories are received on the
dates of the registrations of new enrolling students to our university. The
preliminary applications must be made in person during the registration.
The students who want to apply for our dormitories must go to the
dormitory registration offices. The applicants can learn the result off

Transportation from Airport to Campus
During the semester, there are number of direct
transportation from Mecidiyekoy, Avcılar and from
some other centers. The time table will be available
once semester started.
Fatih University provides shuttle bus services from
Metrobus Station – Tuyap Station to its students free of
charge. Shuttle buses operate 07.30 – 11.00 from
Metrobust to Campus, 15.00 – 17.00 campus to
Metrobus.
From Ataturk International Airport:
Public Transportation: There is a metro station under
the Ataturk International Airport. Since this station is
the beginning of the line, it leads to one way. You
should get on the Metro and get off at “Yenibosna”
station. Your transportation by Metro is just for two
stops and around 4 minutes long. After you get off
Metro, You should take blue busses which have a
number “418 Hadımköy”. You can just tell “Fatih
University”, it takes you until main gate of the campus.
It takes at least 50 minutes and costs 3 TL.

Same bus “418 Hadımköy” can take you to “Republica
Student House”. It is just a few stations before the
campus. You just tell driver “Republica”, you will just
get off in front of it.
Climate
Taxi: It costs about 70 TL. As address you can kindly
inform driver “ Hadımköy, Fatih University Campus” or
“Hadımköy Republica Student House – Göl Şehir
yanında”
Istanbul has a humid subtropical climate that is mild
with no dry season, constantly moist (year-round
rainfall). Summers are hot and muggy with
thunderstorms. Winters are mild with precipitation
from mid-latitude cyclones. Seasonality is moderate.
