Focus Skills:
-Identifying parts of speech in sentences
*Review: nouns, verbs, adjectives, possessive
nouns, types of sentences, common and proper
nouns, singular and plural nouns, pronouns,
possessive pronouns, subject-verb agreement,
capitalization, and punctuation
Study for the test on Friday!
Remember, there are always two “surprise” words
added to each test for application of the phonics skill.
*Your child is responsible for the words in the gray row
ONLY if they are highlighted on his/her paper.
However, any child may study and attempt to spell
them on Friday’s test if he/she wishes.
Class News

PTA will host the Valentine Parties for each class on February 13th at
12:30. The kindergarten Mardi Gras parade will follow at 1:15 that
day. PTA will purchase all party supplies.

Some people have mentioned issues with ST Math and i-Ready
Reading/Math at home. Here is the information I have:
i-Ready Website: https://cainc.i-ready.com/
ST Website: Must be accessed through www.gulfportschools.org .
Choose schools and click Bayou View Elementary, under the "For
Students" tab there is an ST Math link.
Solutions for specific devices: ST Math for iPad School ID: BAY31Q

If these solutions do not help, please email me individually about
the specific problem, and I will work to find a solution. Thank you so
much for encouraging your child to work on these programs.

We are beginning to run low on snacks. If you are able, please pick
up a bag of pretzels, a box of Goldfish or other crackers, or any
healthy treat we can use in class. We appreciate your help!

