Practice your spelling words in any fun way you choose. Read fiction and non-fiction books as often as possible and explain what you have read to someone. chimney English/Writing Focus Skills: -Identifying parts of speech in sentences *Review: nouns, verbs, adjectives, possessive nouns, types of sentences, common and proper nouns, singular and plural nouns, pronouns, possessive pronouns, subject-verb agreement, capitalization, and punctuation Study for the test on Friday! Remember, there are always two “surprise” words added to each test for application of the phonics skill. *Your child is responsible for the words in the gray row ONLY if they are highlighted on his/her paper. However, any child may study and attempt to spell them on Friday’s test if he/she wishes. Class News PTA will host the Valentine Parties for each class on February 13th at 12:30. The kindergarten Mardi Gras parade will follow at 1:15 that day. PTA will purchase all party supplies. Some people have mentioned issues with ST Math and i-Ready Reading/Math at home.
