Please tick the program box on the online entries to book your copy of the programme. GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS: 1. Entries: Closing date of entries Entries close on Monday 2nd March 2015 2. Grade Open Classes (Show Jumping) Grade Open Classes for adults will be divided into four height groups: 1,30m, 1.35m, 1.40m, 1.50m+(The adult 1.30 category is fixed and no movement between grades is allowed) Horses will enter this section & will each day declare as to whether they will compete in the 1.35m, 1.40m or 1.50m+ Classes. Riders who fail to make this declaration will automatically be entered in the class that was entered on their entry form. Declarations for all classes subsequent to the first day must be made in writing within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the last linked class of the day. If no declaration is made the horse(s) concerned will remain on the same level (i.e.: 1.30m, 1.35m, 1.40m or 1.50m+) as the previous class. Classes will be linked and horses may only compete in one of the linked classes. 3. Horse Inspection Show Jumping All Adult Open horses (1.35m – 1.50m) must report to the Horse Inspection areaon 2 April 2015, at 7.30am.Horse inspections will be done on a “first come first served” basis. Please note: Up to date passports must accompany horses. Competitors will be fined should there be any omissions or errors in the horse’s passport. 4. Sampling for Prohibited Substance Horses and/or Riders in any Discipline or Grade may be tested for prohibited substance 5. Passports All Competitors must have their horse’s passport (up to date) available at the event for inspection at all times. 6. African Horse Sickness & Equine Flu: (Government Notice no. R254/6/2/97) a. All horse must be vaccinated annually with a live AHS vaccine produced by Onderstepoort Biological Products and must be administered strictly according to the recommendations as per the package insert. Horses inoculated between 1 February and 30 June of any one year must be re-inoculated by a registered veterinarian within 12 months from the date ofthat inoculation. Horses inoculated between 1 July and 31 January in any year must be re-inoculated by a registered veterinarian during the same period in the following year b. All horses returning / travelling to the Western Capemust be inoculated by a registered veterinarian strictly according to the requirements of that area. All horses must be accompanied by a SAEF or FEI Group IX passport, number to be included on the entry form and certification that the AHS and Equine Flu vaccines have been administered and are valid, must appear on the Horse’s passport. Other evidence of the inoculations will not be accepted. c. Horses which do not comply with the above may be refused permission to compete and can be asked to leave the showgrounds 7. Prizemoney A minimum of 60% of entry fees (excluding levies) plus sponsorshipfor all PR, Young Rider& Adult Open Jumping classes. All other classes a minimum of 40% of entry fees (excluding levies) plus sponsorship. 2 8. Grades JUMPING - HORSESOTHER THAN ADULT (OPEN 1.35m, 1.40m & 1.50m) MUST REMAIN IN THEIR HEIGHT LEVELS AS STIPULATED IN THEIR ORIGINAL ENTRY. 9. Dress Competitors are required to be correctly dressed at all times, Riding Jackets ARE to be worn. No Provincial or other T/Golf Shirts will be allowed. No Dressage waistcoats will be permitted. 10. Competition Rules Unless otherwise stated, all classes will be run under the applicable FEI,and specific discipline rules. 11. Membership & Registration All owners & Riders must be members of, and all horses/ponies must be registered with the discipline in which they wish to compete as well as the SAEF. 12. Parades & Displays Except in circumstances where special dispensation has been obtained from the Show Director, competitors must take part in any parade or display or Prizegiving. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of any Prizemoney, Grading/Qualification Points and/or Trophies. 13. Combining, Restriction or cancellation of classes The organising committee in consultation with the discipline Representative reserves the right to combine, divide or cancel classes should this be necessary, always provided such amendments are not in conflict with the rules. Where necessary, classes may be restricted to qualifications. 14. Stabling BrickStabling will be available at KEP. Stabling will be available at R1100 per horse for the duration of the show, or alternatively R175 per day/night. Stabling is limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Initial bedding will be provided. Competitors from outside Gauteng will receive preference, thereafter stabling will be allocated at the discretion of the Organising Committee. Stables must be vacated by 12noon on the last day of booking, failure to do so will result in a R500 fine. Please note that only horses competing at the show will be accepted for stabling. 15. Protests& Appeals As per FEI and SAEF General Regulations. 16. Responsibility The FEI, specific disciplines, SAEF, The Organising Committee any Sponsors and/or Officials shall in no way be held responsible for any damage, loss, theft or injury sustained by owners, riders, competitors, members or the public or any other person or their property whatsoever. 17.
