The Mendham Township Library for March
BROOKSIDE, NJ, March 4, 2013 – The Mendham Township Library (MTL), located at 2 West Main
Street, is pleased to announce the following upcoming programs, which are open to the public:
Story Time will be at 10:30 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Bring the kids to enjoy an interactive
early literacy program including stories, puppets, songs, musical instruments, and dancing. Make
new friends and do a craft! All ages are welcome to attend.
New Yoga Sessions will begin the week of March 5th, 6th, and 7th to improve strength,
flexibility and balance for all levels is offered. Classes are held at the Brookside Community
Church on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Please call the library at
973-543-4018 for more information.
Community Family Night will be on Thursday, March 7th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Brookside
Community Club. Bring the family to enjoy a night of games, pizza, prizes, raffles, YALC Bake
Sale and more. Suggested donation is $2 per person. Sponsored by the Mendham Township
Library and Recreation Dept. Please register for this program.
On March 7th from 7:00-8:00 p.m. learn about the Solar System with John Andrews from the NJ
Astronomical Association. Visit the sun and all of the planets using stunning astro-photos from
space probes, telescopes, and the Hubble Space Telescope. Adults and middle aged students and
older will enjoy this interesting, educational program. Please register for this program.
The Mendham Photography Club meets on Wednesday, March 13th at 6:30. Join us to share
and learn the many types of photography and photographic equipment. All levels of
photographers are welcome using any type of camera.
The Young Adult Leadership Council (YALC) meets on Thursday, March 14th from 5:30-7:00
p.m. Students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to attend, get involved, have fun, eat pizza,
volunteer and plan programs. Read advanced reader copies before books are published!
The YALC is collecting new and used books for all ages for the Newark Literacy Fair until
March 28th. Please drop off any donations to the Mendham Township Library.
Bring your basket and search for eggs during our Eggstravaganza Hunt on Friday, March 15th
from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Join the YALC and the library bunny for a hopping good time. Make a
spring craft and enjoy refreshments. All ages are welcome to attend. Please register for this
program.

Go with the Flow Watercolors is the topic on Thursday, March 21st from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Local
artist June Shatken from The Art Studio in Brookside joins us to teach an adult beginner’s
watercolor class. Space is limited to please register early. Take home your own paintings as well
as some supplies to continue to paint at home!
The Mendham Township Library Book Club meets in Wednesday, March 27th at 1:30 p.m. to
discuss The Submission by Amy Waldman.
