1) Did you know that Allisson Nugent was accepted to The University of the Arts in
Philadelphia? Allison was awarded a scholarship in the amount of $40,000.
2) Did you know that Josh Guida was accepted to Rowan University? Josh was awarded a
scholarship in the amount of $14,000. He was also accepted to Rider University and was
awarded a scholarship in the amount of $72,000. As a member of the NHS Swim Team,
Josh placed 1st in his heat at the Shore Conference Championships.
3) Did you know that the NHS Swim Team & NAC Lifeguards participated in the annual
Polar “Bare” Plunge in Seaside, NJ? Participants included Tyler Wengiel, Jocelyn
Somers, Kate Hoh, Hunter Romanowski, Emily Millaway, and Asia Wildeman helped
raise money for the Special Olympic.
4) Did you know that Rayjohn Felicia was accepted to the University of New Haven and
was awarded a scholarship in the amount $68,000?
5) Did you know that Sandie Benton, Daja Owens, Rachida Bouchama, Kadeshia Lomack,
Hadiyah Mateen, Breanna West, Jaz’man Johnson, and King Green-Woods participated
in the Monmouth County Career Center’s annual Career & Technical Education Month
celebration?
6) Did you know that Theresa Shafto was accepted to the School of Biomedical Sciences at
Rowan University and the Translational Biomedical Science degree program?
7) Did you know that Chynna Foster was accepted to St. John’s University?
8) Did you know that Allison Moen was credited with her first save as a member of the
Shark River Hills EMs? Allison’s efforts as a member of the SRH EMS saved a life of a
local resident who had been found unconscious and unresponsive.
9) Did you know that Alyssa Pojero was accepted to Misericordia University in Dallas, PA?
Alyssa will be majoring in Sports Management.
10) Did you know that Shanelle Hill was accepted to the University of Maryland; Eastern
Shore.
11) Did you know that Addie Kellet was accepted to Delaware Valley College and was
awarded a scholarship in the amount of $72,000?
12) Did you know that Kavon Freeman was accepted to the University of Bridgeport?
13) Did you know that Kyla Hughley was awarded a full scholarship (tuition &fees) to
Delaware State University?
14) Did you know that Stephen Lane was accepted to Universal Technical Institute (UTI)?
15) Did you know that Ryan Juliano was accepted to SUNY Maritime College?
16) Did you know that Mariah and LeAnna Ross were pictured in an advertisement in Field
Hockey Life magazine?
17) Did you know that Katie Beeler was accepted at Wilkes University and was awarded a
$14,000 scholarship; renewable every year. Katie was also accepted to Saint Peter's
University and was awarded the Dean's Scholarship in the amount of $18,000; renewable
every year with an additional $4,000 for housing.
Did you know that Paige Cooper was accepted to Rider University and was awarded the
Dean's Scholarship in the amount of $64,000?
19) Did you know that Katie Gannon was accepted to Flagler College?
20) Did you know that Tiana Royster attended the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of
America 24th Annual Leadership Forum held at the Gaylord National Resort &
Convention Center, National Harbor, in Maryland?
21) Did you know that Bianca Puryear was accepted to New England College and received
the NEC Dean’s Scholarship in the amount of $18,000 per academic year ($72,000).
Bianca was also accepted to the College of Saint Elizabeth and the University of
Maryland Eastern Shore.
22) Did you know that Kate Hoh, Jocelyn Somers, Asia Wildeman, Hunter Romanowski,
Emily Millaway, and Taylor Wengile participated in the annual Polar Bear Plunge to
support Special Olympics?
23) Did you know that Gabby Diliberto was accepted to FDU and was awarded grants and
scholarships totaling $35,453 per academic year?
24) Did you know that the NHS NJROTC Drill team competed at the annual Passaic HS
JROTC Drill Meet? 2nd Place in Two (2) cadet Armed Trick Competition? They took 3rd
Place in Unarmed Platoon Trick Competition; 3rd Place in Armed Platoon Trick
Competition; and 3rd Place in Athletics Competition.
25) Did you know that Clare Moloughney was accepted to The Richard Stockton College of
NJ, and Rider University? Clare was offered the Dean’s Scholarship from Rider
University. The scholarship is in the amount of $16,000 per year, renewable ever year,
for a total of $64,000.
26) Did you know that the Neptune HS Girls Indoor Track team’s 4 x 200 team is ranked 3rd
in the state and 14th in the nation? The team of Maya Thompson, Phyllis Gordon, Ariana
Wilson, and Destiny Boynton time in the Eastern States in the 4 x 200 is a new NHS
record.
27) Did you know the NHS NJROTC and the NHS Jazz Band performed at the annual
Monmouth County Black History month Celebration in Freehold?
28) Did you know that the NHS ASU, Jazz Band, NJROTC, Choir, and Dance Team
performed at the annual Neptune Township Black History Month Celebration? The NHS
Art students had their artwork displayed in the Atrium of the MTL PAC. Jordan Vinson
sang the African national Anthem to start the celebration.
29) Did you know that 50 NHS students participated in the Sources of Strength training?
