A. Forgiveness Prayers Deborah Spencley
Listening Prayer
We will be asking the Godhead questions tonight and listening for answers. He communicates
through different ways: words, Scriptures, pictures, colors, memories, thoughts, impressions,
feelings, and songs. Be open and write down what He shows you. There are no wrong answers. If
you don’t understand what He shows you, ask Him what it means or why He showed you that.
Forgiveness
Unforgiveness is the #1 blockage to hearing or receiving from God. It separates us from God and
negatively impacts our daily lives. It stems from an offense or injustice done by somebody that you
love or is close to you. What they did to you was not okay, but your response of unforgiveness
keeps you tied to the hurt and the pain, allows Satan to torment you, produces mental anguish, and
physical infirmities in your body.
Sins and offenses that are done against us produce a real debt, but the Bible says to forgive our
debtors. Jesus already paid the price for that debt; forgiveness transfers it back to Him as the
rightful owner of it.
Forgiveness is the key that unlocks the prison door behind which you have been jailed. It allows you
to then transfer the pain, shame, guilt, grief, sorrow, rejection, victimization and unworthiness to
Jesus and receive an exchange. God re-frames the memories so there is now peace instead of pain.
Prayer to Submit to Lordship of Father God
“Father God, I lay down my analytical mind and reasoning for this sozo and choose to be led by my
spirit. I bind my mind to the mind of Christ and my body, soul and spirit to Your truth, Your will and
Your purposes for me. Forgive me for any way I have undermined Your Lordship. I repent, turn
from that, and come into agreement with You in every area of my life.
I want You to be Lord of my spirit, my relationship with You, my spiritual awareness and my
worship.
Be Lord of my mind, my attitudes, my beliefs, my imagination, my understanding, my memories, my
dreams, all my thoughts and my desires.
Be Lord of my emotions, my expression of feelings and all my reactions.
Be Lord of my will and all my decisions, my habits, coping mechanisms and behavior cycles.
Be Lord of my body, my physical health, my exercise, diet, rest, health care, appearance and all my
behavior.
Be Lord of my eyes and what I look upon, my ears and everything I listen to, my mouth and what I
speak, my hands and what I do, my feet and where I go.
Be Lord of my sexuality and its expression.
Be Lord of my time, work, ministry, prayers, home, family, possessions, my perceived needs, safety,
and finances.
Be Lord of my plans, ambitions, future and all my relationships.
Thank You Jesus, that your blood was shed that I might be set free. Thank You that You rose again

and sent Holy Spirit that I might learn to walk in joy and peace and victory over sin and Satan. I
desire daily intimate fellowship with You. I declare oh Lord, that You and You alone are my God, and
besides You there is no other. You are a just God and Savior - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit – and I
worship you! In Jesus Name I pray, Amen.”
Breaking Generational Curses Prayer
(to take away permission of the enemy and remove blockages to hearing God):
“Father God, as the priest (or priestess) in my family line, I repent and renounce all sin in my life and
the generational sin committed by my ancestors that resulted in a curse. I repent for all
disobedience, rebellion, manipulation or control, worshipping other gods, and idolatry. I repent for
all divination, sorcery, witchcraft, and all occult activity. I repent for New Age practices, involvement
and allegiance to cults and false religions, participation in Freemasonry or secret societies. I repent
for all bitterness, anger, hatred, murder, violence, oppression, and injustice. I repent for all
fornication, adultery, homosexuality, bestiality, lust, and all sexual perversion. I repent for all lying,
cheating, and failure to tithe. I repent for all legalism, works of the flesh, pride, ambition, drug use,
overindulgence and carnality. I repent for all persecution of the Jewish people. I ask for your
forgiveness and cleansing through the Blood of Jesus.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I now break (clap) any resulting curses off me and my
generations. I place the cross and the blood of Christ between me and these curses and declare
them null and void. I thank You that through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, I have passed out
from under the curse and entered the blessing of Abraham, whom You blessed in all things.”
I hand to you Father God the demons associated with these curses, all spirit guides, and all family
spirits.

me, and the very real consequences it has had in my life. Jesus, I thank You that You died for my
sins and those of the people on my list. Because You paid for our sin Jesus, I choose to forgive

Trauma Release Prayer
With your permission, Deborah will pray and ask God to unhook any demonic spirits or cosmic
attachments that are attached to the offenses done against you, the pain, trauma, injustices, and
bondage.

Then, with your permission, she will ask Jesus to open the door to the prison holding the pain,
trauma, and effects of the injustices and let all of it release and flow to Jesus and His finished work
on the cross.

B. Building intimacy with Godhead prayers. Father Ladder.
Ron Paulson.
We use a tool called the Father Ladder which is used to help you come into a full and intimate
relationship with each member of the Godhead: Father God, Jesus and Holy Spirit. A second
purpose is to assess and resolve the deep heart lies you are believing about yourself so you are
released into the truth of your true identity, giftings and destiny.
Growing up, our Father, Mother and siblings are intended to be the earthly representative and
image of God. Pretty much our image of Father God deep in our hearts is formed by our childhood
experience with our earthly Father. Our image of Jesus is formed by brothers or sisters, friends or
schoolmates. Our image of Holy Spirit is formed by our Mother’s. But because our parents fall
short, our image of God is distorted. If our earthly father was absent or distant or harsh, we
believe Father God is also absent distant or harsh. Also as children we can greatly misinterpret
experiences. (Example of burn at age 11. Felt abandoned.)
In the Father Ladder we assess our true relationship with each member of the Godhead , not our
head knowledge, but our heart closeness. We then ask God to show us the root cause of any
separation or lies we believed. Can be a past experience or the person(s) who wounded us. Then
we come back to fully reconcile to God and enjoy his presence.
During this exercise, we are asking God questions and listening for answers. Whatever pops in
your mind do not discount. May be words, impression, image.

C. Defense Mechanism (Ungodly Reaction/Patterns to Wounds) Karen Ying.
Definition: Defense Mechanisms are patterns of behavior, attitudes that we developed to protect
ourselves. They are developed early in life and is triggered and activated automatically when
danger is perceived much like the Fight or Flight response we learned about in biology as been
innate. In a way, we did inherit them.
Adam and Eve’s defensive reaction to guilt and shame (Genesis 3):

Defenses keep us from relying on and trusting God. Keeps us in a cycle of repeating wounds.
Mechanisms are formed by habitual use of the mechanisms or via Inner Vows (deep conviction and
decision to do something to protect oneself) Ex: I’m never cry; I’ll never be like ____; I’ll
never/always _____; I’ll never be vulnerable again; etc. Vows are ungodly as they add to God’s law
(Deut 12:32). Every law that we set up has a punishment attached so we are subjecting ourselves to
self-imposed punishments. We are also making oaths that bind out wills God did not tell us to
make (Matt 5:33-7). It is an act of dependence on one’s will rather than reliance on God.
Signs of Inner vows: Repeating scenarios and storylines in your life, inability to break a habit,
unexplainable guilt, Self-hatred, extreme intolerance of others in a specific way.
Negative or Bitter Expectancies: A belief system that is established in your heart that expects the
worst in people, self, God and situations. In expecting the worst, one hopes to protect oneself from
disappointments or brace oneself from pain and betrayal. (Ex: they always do this, People always
use me, No one ever understands me, No one will find me attractive, Good things never stays
around). Bitter expectancies is a self-fulfilling prophecy that operates on the Law of Faith (Proverbs
23:7 As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.) There is an “unconscious drive” to be proven right and
causes one to sabotage the interaction so that what is expected comes into reality.

 God, I choose to renounce this alliance that I made with _____________ (name the protection). I
no longer want to partner with it to protect me. I relinquish my role as my protector to you God.
Rebuke
 I say the Lord rebuke all associated spirits and power behind this false protection and by the
blood and cross of Jesus I wipe clean all parts of me from the effects of confinement and
defilement. Holy Spirit, come and complete the work of cleansing and healing.
Replace
 Father, in the place of this false protection, what will you give to me? Show me how you will
protect me. Father can you give me a tool so I can partner with you in protecting myself.
Repent/confess Negative expectancies
 God, also forgive me for forming bitter expectancies about the future and in so doing cut short
my destiny and your plans. Forgive me for misappropriating faith towards thoughts that led to
death rather than life and hope.
