Get involved in Fashion Fest 2015, 12th – 14th November
Following on from the resounding success of last year’s inaugural Fashion Fest, Derry City
and Strabane District Council are delighted to launch Fashion Fest 2015. There are a
number of exciting opportunities for our local businesses to get involved with in this year’s
programme of events.
1. Gala Fashion Show, 14th November, St Columbs Hall, Derry
The most anticipated and glamorous event in the Fashion Fest 2015 programme is the Gala
Fashion Show. This innovative and unique fashion show is designed to celebrate the
international grade designers and labels putting the region on the map as Northern Irelands
fashion capital.
The glitz and glamour of the Gala Fashion Show on the Saturday evening is an
entertainment highlight of the Northern Ireland calendar. Building on the success of the 2014
event this year we plan to raise the roof and set the standards higher than ever before by
creating the top showbiz bash of 2015.
This year the gala will showcase both high-street and designer fashion and we are inviting
our local retailers to participate in this exclusive opportunity. There is a participation fee of
£100 to partake in the event and retailers should be aware that spaces will be limited. If you
are interested in showcasing a collection please complete the attached application form no
later than 12pm on Friday 02nd October.
2. In-store Fashion and Beauty Events
Fashion Fest 2015 offers a unique and varied programme of events with wide appeal to
industry experts, emerging and established designers, buyers, students and fashion
entrepreneurs – a celebration which promises a dedicated crowd of fashion followers to
descend on the city for a three day celebration of all things ‘fashionistic’ and cementing the
regions position on the fashion-map.
Derry City and Strabane District Council are inviting all retailers, restaurants, beauticians and
traders across the city to take advantage of this opportunity by creating their own unique
store Fashion and Beauty Event, providing locals and visitors with an exclusive offering
when visiting your store to ensure that you maximise this opportunity provided by Fashion
Fest and boost sales during this period.
Why not open a pop up shop in your restaurant? Provide customers with bubbly whilst they
try own your new range of clothes? Have an in house fashion expert on hand with tips on
how to wear knee length boots this winter or give customers 20% off that must have beauty
product for the Fashion Fest period only?
All you have to do is detail your exclusive Fashion Fest – In store Fashion and Beauty Event
offer on our application form attached. This information will then be included within the
Fashion Fest 2015 programme and promotional material to be distributed widely throughout
the North West region and Northern Ireland.
Please be aware that to meet our print deadlines all information needs to be returned no
later than 12pm on Friday 02nd October using the attached application.
3. Large Scale Social Media Campaign
Fashion Fest 2015 will be accompanied by a large scale social media campaign. Derry City
and Strabane District Council will provide your organisation with the tools to create, share
and exchange your pictures, videos and content using dedicated Fashion Fest channels to
assist with your marketing campaign.

Outfits must be delivered to St Columb’s Hall by Fri 13th November.

A participation fee of £100 must be paid in full to Derry City and Strabane District
Council by Friday 30th October.
The submission of this application does not guarantee participation in Fashion Fest
2015 and Fashion Fest 2015 reserve the right to refuse any application. Whilst we
will try to accommodate collections as best we can, the final selection on number of
outfits and collections profiled will be made by the event organisers.
