GSRA League Fixtures and Results Sec Report 2014/15
Sept 2015
Richard Ellis
Many congradulations to all the winners of our league and cup competitions this season who are listed below, and a big thank you to all the captains who organised their teams and entered the results, and to all participants. This was the first season we have entered everyone into the cup competitions and reserved dates within the season for the first few rounds. These competitions were well supported with nearly all fixtures being played. We appreciate the extra efforts involved by the captains to organise these fixtures, and hope you enjoyed the opportunity to play a few different teams.
The Vets league meandered its way to a conclusion, but with a large number of fixtures not played.
Th e aim of the fixtures - as requested by the majority members when asked in the past - is to attempt to provide 10 (to 12) fixtures per half with a very short Christmas break. In addition we have a week break between the school terms within the season, introduced a long time ago. This means the leagues are played over Oct - Dec, and Jan - March. As always, if you have any comments or suggestions for improvements to the fixtures and organisation then please let me know.
