Pupils and staff should go straight to the Assembly Hall on their allocated day where the class will be registered. All pupils should be seated together in their registration class. Monday 14th – S5 Tuesday 15th – S6 S2 Parents Evening – Online Booking: Letters and instructions for the S2 Parents’ Evening on-line booking system are being issued to pupils today via registration. Appointments can be booked online as of today and therefore it is essential that parents receive the letters tonight. (AW) Woolly craft club: Our crochet and knitting club meets on Monday lunchtimes at 1:05 in B21. All welcome, beginners and experts alike! The Great Moray Sewing Bee : Are you creative? You have got to be in it to win it, give it a try! (KA) International Week - is next week, from Monday 21 September; Meine Damen und Herren, Mesdames et Messieurs, Girls and Boys! Guten Abend, bonsoir, wie geht's? Comment ca va? Do you feel good? We bet you do when you read this! Lots of activities and events have been planned for next week, including: Speak To Me – Staff will wear badges asking YOU to speak to them in a foreign language. If you speak in French, German or Spanish to a member of staff, they will sign your planner. There will be a prize for the pupil who speaks to the most teachers and collects the most signatures. The Library and the canteen will be festooned with bunting and flags and there will be European music playing at intervals and lunchtimes during the week. There will be a treasure hunt to collect information about European countries. S2 pupils will complete an Around the World in Books challenge during English Library periods. The canteen staff will be cooking up a storm of international dishes for all in school. And, the fantastical amazing ending of the week, on Friday at lunchtime in the library, will be our now annual and hugely popular Eurovision Song Contest. This will have even more glamour and glitz than before, with three pupil acts, including a spot the staff member in the Bucks Fizz group. We will also have a very special staff act and French, German and Spanish judges, assisted by S6 and staff translators. Our own version of Graham Norton will be in charge of proceedings, with two sparkling assistants, who aim to ensure that this Eurofun event goes Boom Bang a Boom. Not to be missed!! Thank you Mr Dugdale: We had an insightful, informative and entertaining talk from Mr Dugdale on Friday about cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, his achievements and the conspiracy theories surrounding his death. If anyone would like to find out more, there are display boards in the library. S1-S3 S2 Rotation: S2 rotation starts today for Drama/Art/Music – new timetables issued via registration. For S1 and S2: Novelties Book Group will meet tomorrow, TUESDAY, this week, instead of Wednesday. Usual time and place. Hope you can make it. S3 Interhouse Football: S3 boys football Tuesday 1pm on the astro.
