OPEN CALL FOR LECTURERS DEPARTMENT OF EARTH SCIENCES Applications are invited for multiple lecturer positions beginning in Fall Quarter 2013. The courses are as follows: Fall 2013: Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology (lecture, 3 hours/week; lab, 6 hours/week; 4 field trips) Winter 2013: Introductory Mineralogy (lecture, 3hours/week; lab, 5 hours/week; 3 field trips) Winter 2013: Groundwater Geology (lecture, 3 hours/week; lab, 3 hours/week) Winter 2013: Applied and Exploration Geophysics (lecture, 3 hours/week; lab, 3 hours/week) Spring 2013: Analytical Mineralogy (lecture, 3 hours/week; lab, 6 hours/week) Applicants must have demonstrated experience or show strong promise in teaching. Applicants with expertise in petrology, mineralogy, and hydrology are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must have an M.S. degree or higher in Geological Sciences or a related field.
