HYPOTHETICAL STUDENT BRIEF INFORMATION FORM
Use this form to describe your hypothetical student or students. When planning lessons using aided
language stimulation and descriptive teaching, it is important to consider aided and/or unaided
methods of communication that the student currently uses. For aided systems, think about what
words the student already knows and what words are available for modeling. Think about how
many words the student understands. Does the student understand sentences? Short phrases?
Single words? What messages does the student express? How many different words? Sentences?
Short phrases? Single words? Does the student communicate for many different reasons or for
limited functions (e.g., only makes requests). This is an interactive form, so you can just click on the
check box or boxes to indicate your answer(s), or click on the gray bars and start typing. If you
would prefer, you can also print this form and write your answers in by hand.
