Run Report: RUN 795
As Focker had sinusitis, lowerbackitis (shaggers back), Owlitis, teachingitis, kiditis,
pedantitis midlifecrisisitis and a range of other ills she wasn’t going to turn up, but had
snivelled down the phone asking us to do the run report for her.
It was a good run and a good on on. Thank you Wopa and Gollum.
The sprinkling of rain that greeted the pack as they arrived held off until after the circle
and started again as hashers were leaving. A good sign.
Parking around that area was abysmal. We knew it would be, so your intrepid travellers
came by train. Some of the hash parked ks away.
It was good to see that Wopa had encouraged Bayside Hash to turn up and it is always
good to see them. Thirsties don’t often travel over the river so it does keep the numbers
up. Welcome Charlatan and Catatonic.
Our wonderful GM, Miss Belinda Snogs, got the pack under way on time and the walkers
went down towards State High School and down and across Musgrave Park. Then down
to Grey Street and along to the Museum. The few runners meantime had gone a different
way and were not seen again until the bucket.
The stairs and levels at the museum that lead onto the library and Goma can be confusing
but with good arrows we did it.
Interesting to note that although last, we were the only ones at the re-group with
Precious, Gollum, Sir Poxy Boxy and Beachball.
The next part of the run was along the river walk which was delightful, but alas we had to
turn off into the Water Park and back up Ernest Street to a decent bucket outside the
Curry Hut.
It was here that the non-shortcutting runners overtook the last of the walkers. Chase It
was leading Ned. Anita, a visitor who runs, was doing well. Right behind was Where’s
The Beef keenly watching the two ferrets in front bouncing around trying to escape from
her running attire.
Amazing that Precious did the whole walk wearing thongs, so hope her feet didn’t hurt
too much the next day.
Fairly noisy bucket before the circle was opened by HRH Belinda, who (perhaps) aided
by the real RA got things under way.

Circle
 Gollum & Wopa were praised by the hash for the run except by some of the more
querulous who wanted more hills, less lights, etc. etc (yawn, yawn).Thunderbox
wanted to know where the naked women were.
 The RA could not understand the KKK connection to misspellings by Wopa and
droned on. Dog offered a hint of white sheets, interpreted by the sometime deaf
RA as good under the sheets. The RA thought it was wet blankets but didn’t know
the size. Someone corrected him, perhaps True Blue and said it was a doona.
Beachball joined in but can’t remember what he said other than he had doona
reservations. Thus is the articulate and heady conversations of the Circle under
this regime. (yawn)
 The debacle continued with visitors and returnees being given a down down.
There were Catatonic and Charlatan of course, plus the lovely Anita visitor from
Townsville who had to explain to the RA that she did not have a hash name.
Chuffy got a down down for 2 weeks absence. Floater for an absence of two or
three weeks, True Blue was also missed for a week or two and several others
were included. Floater did a rendition of “She threw her left leg over my shoulder”.
The GM apologised and explained that she had not worn her glasses for the last
few weeks, so hadn’t really seen anyone.
 It had been Ned’s birthday last week and we are pleased that the GM relented and
gave him a birthday down down.
 Wopa wanted True Blue’s leg over his shoulder but she could not reach that high.
Wopa explained that he had just renewed his licka license, or was that tongue in
cheek?
 Christopher Cum Semen was charged with improper dressing as in his rush he
had one sock out of the two pairs of socks (and 2 tennis balls) he keeps in his
running attire showing. He was also accused of impersonating Nureyev the
dancer.
 Various attempts to give the day a meaning were put forward including Italy day
(which we all know is June 2nd). It was pointed out that it was Fat Thursday in
Poland (and for the rest of Eastern Europe for that matter) where vast quantities of
sweet things are eaten before Lent starts. This story was immediately quashed as
Thunderbox pointed out it was not the 12th yet in Europe yet, having been told by
Sherbet.
 The RA asked the ladies what was long and hard. No response so he explained “A
Polish Surname”.
 There was some discussion about how long the run was, some saying it was only
3 ks. Wopa insisted it was at least 8 ks. (Actually walkers was 4.34 Ks which in
Summer when it is hot and humid it is quite adequate.)
At some stage everyone got bored s…less and retired for the food. It was good, and
although a little tardy, everyone was treated to a wonderful smile from the staff.
Wagga and OS were last to be fed. Probably because they did not order till after the run.
Next week’s run is to be set by Fockeritis and is as follows:
King's Curry Hut 250 Telegraph Rd Bracken Ridge Plaza Shopping Centre, order and
pay before. BYO Bottleshop next door open until 9:00 pm. Curry Hut closes 9:30 pm.
Bring Torches [map]. AND don’t forget you will be on detention if you don’t show up or are
late.
