Press Release FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE June 17, 2015 Amanda Falcone Communications Specialist (860) 509-3663 afalcone@crec.org Joint Concert Shows that Love is Winning (Hartford, CT) The first-ever Love Wins concert was held June 16 at the Black Box Theater at the CREC Greater Hartford Academy of the Arts Middle School. The concert was a collaborative effort between the middle school and CREC’s Ana Grace Academy of the Arts Elementary School, which is located in Avon. Students from both schools performed during the concert, and the concert ended with everyone singing “Love Wins,” a song written and arranged by CREC Ana Grace Academy of the Arts Elementary School teacher Anne Alleva. The program title and the final song was a tribute to Newtown victim Ana Grace Marquez-Greene, the CREC Ana Grace Academy of the Arts Elementary School’s namesake. Throughout the school year, CREC has incorporated into its curriculum the motto and philosophy of Love Wins, a campaign created by Ana Grace’s family. The goal is to promote love, connection, and community for every child and family. ### The Capitol Region Education Council was established in 1966.
