Sponsorship Program Guidelines APPLICATION FOR SPONSORSHIPS The Company undertakes sponsorships to support community organisations and activities that add to the wellbeing of the community as a whole. Successful sponsorship programs involve good communication and planning and have benefits for both the recipients and the sponsor. Sponsorship is our Community Bank® Branch’s main form of advertising. The potential for community exposure and the opportunity for generating follow on support in the form of banking business are of high importance when we assess a sponsorship application. The outcome of the applications is determined by many measures which include the benefit to the community and the Community Bank®. Sponsorship funding is totally dependent upon our community supporting our Community Bank® Branch with accounts of all kinds. Priority will be given to sponsorships of organisations that are Clovelly Community Bank® Branch customers. SPONSORSHIP CRITERIA: Before you begin you should ask yourself these questions. “How will this project benefit the local community in the long term and how many members of the community will benefit from it?” These are the questions that each Board member will have in the front of their mind when assessing your application. One of the stated aims of community banking is “To develop the long term prosperity of the community” Keep this in mind when formulating your request. Conflict of Interest. The Board takes the issue of Conflict of Interest very seriously. If a Director is in any way associated with you or your organisation they will be required to identify that relationship. In most cases they will be unable to speak to or give support to your application. The reason that you need to know this is that you must not leave any detail from your application in the belief that any one Director will speak on your behalf just because they are associated with you. Clovelly Community Bank® Branch will not sponsor: Opportunities that: Fall outside our area of operation Demonstrate political, religious or socially divisive objectives. Denigrate or offend the community Political or religious organisations. Events or programs that denigrate, exclude or offend minority groups.
