All County 2014-2015 Audition and Clinic Information
Audition:

















SATURDAY DECEMBER 13th 9:00AM EAST IREDELL MIDDLE (directions at
bottom of paper)!!!!!!!
All students will learn and audition on the all district 9 th 10th grade scales and solo
(regardless if you are in 11th or 12th grade).
Cost $5.00 for the audition per instrument
Must pay $5.00 registration fee to Mrs. Parker by
Friday- November 21st - no exceptions!!!!
9:00am auditions begin do not get there before 8:30am.
Most of the time auditions are done by noon.
You must provide your own transportation to and from the audition.
We will probably know the results that evening- if you text me that evening I can let you
know your results.
If you audition and make the all county band- you must be able to participate in the all
county clinic- please see dates below.
Scales must be memorized and performed in 3 1/2 minutes or less.
You may use YOUR copy of the solo.
You many NOT use a copy of the scales. They must be memorized.
Please review all audition solo requirements- if you have any questions please ask Mrs.
Parker.
Please also use the online metronome to make sure your solo and scales are the right
tempo.

The audition will consist of playing all your scales (on sheet provided), playing your
chromatic scale (on sheet provided), solo and a sight reading.

All County Clinic Information:








Friday January 23rd - Saturday January 24th 2015
Clinic will be held at Statesville High School
Friday 9:00am-5:00pm Statesville High School- begin arriving at 8:30pm
Saturday 9:00am-2:00pm Statesville High School
Concert will be Saturday January 24th at 2:00pm
Concert attire- formal all black
There will be a clinic fee which will include- clinic, t-shirt is $15. If you would like to
purchase lunch both days, your clinic fee will be $25.
You must provide your own transportation to and from Statesville High School on 1/23
and 1/24
