Warfare 2015 rules








All lists must be battle forged.
LoW unit may not cost more than 450pts and may not be duplicated
No strength D weapons with a range greater than 24" are permitted. In addition only 1 model may
have a strength D weapon with a range greater than 12".
Maximum warp charge dice per turn is 12.
No ‘Come the Apocalypse’ or ‘Desperate allies’. In addition all allies are treated as ‘Allies of
Convenience’ before the start of your first turn.
Maximum of 1 Relic/Relic vehicle/unique character/any other thing that is max 1 per army may be
taken per army.
Forge World and Horus Heresy lists are disallowed but Forge World units are allowed providing
they have non experimental 40k rules.
Any unit in a compulsory choice in a non-formation detachment must cost more than 50 points
including any upgrades.
In addition the following Units/Formations are banned for Warfare 2015
 Tau Fire Support Cadre
 Space Marine Typhon (any variant loyalist or chaos)
 Void Shield Generators
 Any fortification based on a realm of battle tile
Missions
Mission 1 Maelstrom of War- Tactical Escalation
Mission 3 Eternal War- Purge the Alien
Mission 3 Maelstrom of War- Spoils of War
Mission 4 Maelstrom of War- Cloak and Shadows
Mission 5 Eternal War- The Relic/The Emperor's Will (undecided which one is best, see notes at the end)
For the 3 Maelstrom missions we are using a modified deck. You may note the numbers of up to 6 cards
on your army list. These will be removed from the maelstrom deck before the start of the game along with
card 41 (Recon). If you draw a card that is impossible during the game then you must keep it and may
discard it as you would any other card.
All models must be WYSIWYG, fully painted and based. If your army is painted as a recognised chapter
then you must use the correct codex and/or chapter tactics. Also all models with special rules conferred
by detachment rules must be clearly marked differently to those without. If you're unsure of how to do this
then please contact the organisers.
FAQ/Errata/Amendments
The effect of the ‘Invisibility’ psychic power only reduces any unit shooting at it to unmodifiable BS1 (but
does not force snap shots) and any unit fighting it in close combat is unmodifiable WS1 when attacking
(but not when being attacked).
Gate of infinity cannot affect a unit containing a model with the ‘Very Bulky’ or ‘Extremely Bulky’ special
rules.
Flying Monstrous Creatures, Gargantuan Creatures and Flying Gargantuan Creatures cannot benefit from
cover saves conferred by simply being in a piece of terrain they must be 25% obscured to claim a cover
save.
If a unit has an Imperial Armour entry as well as a codex entry (eg: the Leman Russ Vanquisher) then you
use the base points cost of the codex and then any IA armour upgrades are then costed as per the IA
entry. So a Vanquisher with a Co-axial Storm Bolter will cost 145pts. Please note that the Vanquisher
may not take any specialist shells as those are unique to the armoured battle group list which is not
permitted.
Khorne Daemonkin may take Blood Slaughters, Chaos Contemptors, and Decimators from IA13 as
Heavy Support choices. All must take the mark of Khorne or be upgraded to a Daemon of Khorne for the
appropriate points cost where possible and gains the 'Blood for the Blood God!' special rule. A Decimator
can only contribute to the blood tithe by being wrecked once.
The new Bloodthirsters in WD replace the Bloodthirster entry in Codex Chaos Daemons. If any of the 3
Bloodthirster variants are taken then Daemon princes with the Daemon of Khorne upgrade may be taken
as Heavy Support choices within that detachment.
The Shokk Attack Gun is allowed to be used as it’s only Strength D on a double 6.
Forge World chapter tactics are permitted, however if you wish to use them your army must be
appropriately painted as that chapter.
Due to the pace of the release schedule this rules pack is subject to change and may be changed
to reflect future releases. The final version will be published approximately 3 weeks before the
event. In general please assume that unless your codex is updated they everything that is allowed
now will continue to be allowed.
