Discussion:
Does being on student status constitute an EPSHRM member?
We count our students as members.
Is it OK for students to apply for EPSHRM student member scholarship?
Our current procedure does not exclude students from applying for EPSHRM scholarships.
Merit of applicant is first:
Major is not specified for S & D.
Future recommendation:
Categories: EPSHRM or UTEP student member (UTEP SHRM member or EPSHRM member) and S&D
Everyone feels they have an opportunity. This does not affect membership process just the scholarship.
ADD Field in our membership database or put a disclaimer that we reserve or have the right to … No
solicitation policy in our By-laws. He could go on line to get a complete list.

Betsy is looking at getting bags donated? We need 75 each. Not just ask for bags but also ask for
additional items (first aid kits, etc.). We may want to send out a blanket e-mail. 4 bags with stuff inside

his company. Dalia suggested contacting Dina Culpepper about donating the left-over HR Southwest
conference bags. Helen of Troy or Electric Co may also donate bags. Betsy will E-mail donation letter
so that we can send to various contact names asking for donations. Bill will also give us mints.
01/07/11 is the deadline to get donations. We can also pick up items, as needed.

not at 200 right now. Discuss at January Strategic Meeting.
Betsy stated we made our money with bigger speakers and larger turnouts. Dalia mentioned increasing
the price $5 each and still get a good turnout.
Sharon will e-mail Campos.
Dalia: Calendar sponsors may also be willing to donate items (light bulk pencil sharpeners, sewing kits).
Betsy commented it would be good to have a generic EPSHRM e-mail. Daniel commented he would
check with xxxex. RSVP e-mail address so they would be in one e-mail address would be great!
Effective in January Daniel is replacing Robert Segura as TSC Director—congratulations!
