New HAI resource leaflet now available
The spring 2015/16 HAI educational resource leaflet is now available. Responding to stakeholder
feedback, we have included an index to map our resources to job roles. To order your copies of the

HAI awareness events: Strengthening our Defences
The interest in the events has been phenomenal and we are delighted to see such diversity in the
registrations across professions and disciplines providing a great opportunity for health and social
care staff to network and learn from one another. We are looking forward to welcoming you to the
events on 16th and 20th April 2015 which are set to be engaging and interactive. Registration has
been extended so is still open. Further details on the events available at

HAI Standards published
The HAI Standards align with the National Infection Prevention and Control Manual and both
documents are key for healthcare organisations to adhere to and ensure robust HAI practice and

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the recent web survey. Your feedback is
invaluable and is currently being analysed to help us to improve our resources and services to
meet your needs.

The HAI Team have been hard at work developing a number of new resources including:

Antimicrobial stewardship for nurses and midwives (workbook)
Hand dermatitis (pocket book and train the trainer presentation)
Minimising the risk of Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection and other waterborne outbreaks

Safe management of linen (video)
Skin Tears: Prevention, Assessment and Management (video and workbook)
Recognising surgical site infections (online module, train the trainer presentation, tip cards)
Management of Continence (online module)

Cleanliness Champions Programme
The Cleanliness Champions Programme has recently been updated. You can find more
information on the CCP learnPro pages. An amended addendum is now being mailed out with the
paper version of the programme.
