Application Process Information and Checklist
APPLICATION PROCESS
Applicants for the Reisher Scholarship at MSU Denver must submit the Supplemental Application form along with the
required essay and unofficial transcripts by the application deadline of March 1st, 2016 for continuing sophomore
students and April 10, 2016 for junior transfer students. In order to be considered as a candidate, applicants must also
submit the MSU Denver Online 2016-2017 Scholarship Application and 2016-2017 FAFSA as well as complete their
Financial Aid file to verify financial need.
You will be contacted by phone if you are selected for a scholarship interview. Continuing sophomore student interviews
will be held in March and final selection decisions will be made in June. Junior transfer student interviews will be held in
April and final selection decisions will be made in July. 2016-2017 Reisher Scholarship awards begin in fall 2016.

 Submit your MSU Denver Online 2016-2017 Scholarship Application at
http://www.msudenver.edu/financialaid/scholarships. The priority deadline for the MSU Denver Online
Scholarship Application is March 1st. However, you may still submit it after this date.
 Submit your 2016-2017 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with MSU Denver’s school code
001360 at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Complete your FAFSA as soon as possible. Priority consideration for the Reisher
Scholarship will be given to applicants who submit their FAFSA by February 15th. However, you may still submit it
after this date.
 Complete your 2016-2017 Financial Aid File by submitting all requested documentation to the MSU Denver
Financial Aid Office. You may view requested documentation on ConnectU at https://connectu.msudenver.edu
under the student finances tab. Complete your file as soon as possible. You will not be selected for the Reisher
Scholarship if your file is not completed in a timely manner.

Essay Instructions: All applicants must submit an essay with this supplemental application form. This essay is in addition
to the essay required by the MSU Denver Online Scholarship Application. This essay should be typed in 12 point font,
single spaced, and no longer than 1 page. In your essay, please answer the following questions:
1. Why are you a good candidate for the Reisher Scholarship?
2. What are your career goals and future plans after graduation?
3. How will the completion of your degree benefit you and others?
