Request for Proposal
The National 4-H Center would like to invite you to submit a proposal to conduct a workshop at a
National Youth Summit at the National 4-H Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland. For the school year 20152016 we will presenting three unique summits:
NYS on Maker - November 6-9, 2015
NYS on Agri-Science - January 15-18, 2016
NYS on Healthy Living - February 12-15, 2016
Workshops provide students a place to gain information in specific subject matters to increase
knowledge, help inspire career paths and create action plans to implement in their communities to
teach other youth about what they have learned. Youth and adults working together is a powerful
method to share information and bring about positive outcomes in their home states. Interested youth
and adult teams have an opportunity to submit a proposal by:
NYS on Maker – September 18, 2015
NYS on Agri-Science – October 1, 2015
NYS on Healthy Living – October 1, 2015
Proposal for the workshops will be electronically submitted via email to Maria McNeely,
mmcneely@4hcenter.org
The target audience are youth in grades 9th – 12th, and each workshop 45 minute workshop will
have an average of 15 – 30 participants. It is highly recommended that workshops include a 15-minute,
hands-on activity as part of the session plus handouts/outlines for participants to take home.
