WISCONSIN CHAPTER NEWSLETTER
NOVEMBER 2011
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Thanks to Jason Anderson and Jane Woolman for
organizing the October meeting. This meeting
with the IRS and the WDOR provides the
membership with an opportunity to not only hear
the latest from the local leadership of the IRS and
WDOR, but also an opportunity to have informal
discussions with the leadership of both taxing
authorities.
We received very positive feedback on the
Sheraton Hotel as a meeting location.
Jennifer Janecek and John Sloane have organized
the November meeting which will be an all day
session on Accounting for Income Taxes. The first
hour of the morning session will be devoted to
basic concepts with the balance of the morning
discussing intermediate topics such as UTP and
valuation allowances. Advanced topics will be
discussed in the afternoon including a breakout for
international topics and a breakout for domestic tax
issues. After the breakout sessions we will re-group
to discuss IFRS, OCI, CFO concerns and tax
reform.
