The Seasons: spring,
summer, winter, autumn
(1st-2nd grade)
Introduction:
There are 4 seasons that we
experience and they are winter,
spring, summer and autumn.
The seasons impact what we eat,
the clothes we wear and the
activities we participate in.
Pre-Questions:
▪Do you like it better when it
is hot or cold out?
▪do you know what months these
seasons fall in?
▪which season do you like the
most?
Your task:
Today you are helping gather
information for the weather
broadcaster. You will need to
find information on a season
and make a poster with your
findings and a picture of your
season. then your poster will
be shown on the news so people
are more informed about the
seasons.
Process:
Step 1~ choose a season. Each
of you will research one of the
following seasons winter,
summer, spring or autumn.
Step 2~ research your season
and Find out the following
information:
▪ What months does your
season
Happen in?
▪ is it cold, wet, windy or
warm
During your season?
▪ does your season have
short or
Long days?
▪ find something neat about
your
Season that may be
different
From the other seasons.

your paper.

The research will be graded on
how well they report the facts
and followed directions. The
description will be graded on
spelling and if it is written
clearly. And last the poster
will be graded on creativity.
