Nature Photography . Students will need to know their cameras well and are required to bring Cameras, chargers or extra batteries plus helpful if you have your camera manual, plus handy to have a laptop with image editing software. Students will need Camera, chargers or extra batteries, and if possible laptop with image editing software. Venue Hanmer Spring Fire Brigade rooms. 3. Watercolour Painting. Students to bring what brushes, drawing paper, Watercolour Paper, and paints you have but contact Tutor if you have nothing. Kim will be taking some basics so take $20 to cover these materials. Venue Hanmer Springs School. 4. Drawing. Sarah recommends the Drawing Room / Gordon Harris or quality Art supply shop for purchasing equipment. The cost will vary hugely as students may already have their own. Students will need Cartridge Paper 10 x large sheets , Some sheets or sketch pad of watercolour grade paper, 300gsm if students are wanting to use washes or ink. Sketch pads of various sizes at student own discretion. At least 1 x 2b, 3b & 6b Staedtler Mars Lumograph pencils. Compressed charcoal sticks, medium and soft, my favourite is Faber-Castell PITT. Water colour pencils (optional but great fun). Contesticks, sepia & white. Drawing ink and Bamboo to make drawing sticks. Pastels. Acrylic Paints. Range of soft brushes for ink and watercolour pencils. Sharp Craft knife / Ruler/ Masking tape/ Drawing Board / soft rubber – essential. Venue Hanmer Springs Forestry Camp 5. Fun with Furniture. Students require 1 or 2 pieces of furniture (needs to be proper wood not mdf or melamine). Furniture will need a light sand before the weekend. Students will need to bring or decided if they want to decorate with decoupage and/or chalk paint. Justin can supply fabrics , PVA , Water Based Polyurethane, Chalk Paint but you will need to contact him well before the weekend with your requirements. Students are required to bring their own clubs, but if you do not have any ring Jason and he will bring up some loan clubs for you. He will also have extra clubs and practise balls for everyone. Venue Amuri Golf Course. Cooking. Students require own apron, large and small knife, 6 small containers for taking home extra food. Pen and note pad. Material cost for ingredients, to be paid to Mary $25. Venue Hanmer Springs Sports Pavilion. Textile Craft Students need to contact Jane well before the course to decide on what they would like to do. Jane can teach anything from patchwork, felting, embroidery, sewing etc etc etc. Jane also has kits available. Venue Jane’s Home “ Stash Palace” 12 Lochiel Drive, Hanmer Springs. Limestone Sculpture. Students to bring – Old clothes, chisels , hammer, several grades of sand paper, old wood saw if you have one. Bon will have extra tools for students to share. Students also need to contact Bon as to size and cost of stones for their sculpture. They will cost approx. $30 payment made to Bon. Venue Smith’s Farm 61 Woodbank Rd, Hanmer Springs. Mosaics . Students will need to choose a project . You may need a pot, tile or board. If wanting it to be outside it will need to be painted and you may want a mirror also. Best to contact the Tutor or ring Trinity Glass for advice. They will bring lots of tiles and glass for you to buy but you can bring your own tiles or broken glass. Wear old Clothes. Print Making Students are to bring old clothes, pens, pencils, paper and sketch pad. Rebecca will be supplying some kits at a cost of approximately $30 to be paid to her at course.
