Churches In Aberystwyth This is just a quick summary of the main churches that students attend in Aberystwyth. The Aberystwyth CU website (www.abercu.co.uk) has more details but on Thursday 24h of September we are hosting a ‘Grub Crawl’. This event will take you around 5 of these churches and provide you with a 5 course meal, show you where they are and give you a bit of information about each of them so hopefully you’ll be better equipped to choose which one church you will attend during your stay in Aber! St Mike’s Church has two student pastors (Ben and Mel), who work with students but all of the churches have their own individual student ministries too. All of the Churches provide many opportunities in different ministries (youth, children’s, elderly, homeless etc.) for service depending on your suiting and your own individual gifts. We really encourage you to have a look around them and settle in one church as soon as you can in Aber. English Speaking Churches: Alfred Place Baptist Church (AP): Alfred Place Baptist church is a bible believing, gospel preaching church that upholds the Doctrines of Grace; the emphasis at A.P. is on clear, relevant Biblical preaching. The church exists to worship God, to proclaim the good news that Jesus Christ provides eternal salvation for all who repent of their sins and trust in him alone as Saviour, and to provide teaching and fellowship which helps believers to live in a way pleasing to God. Main Sunday services: 10:30am and 6pm Website: http://www.alfredplacechurch.org.uk/ Elim Christian Fellowship Aberystwyth (Elim): Elim Christian Fellowship is a made up of around 40 believers, and when the students are here this number increases significantly. We are part of the Elim Pentecostal movement and the Evangelical Alliance. Our church is charismatic in belief with a strong emphasis on solid bible teaching, enthusiastic praise and worship, and exercising the spiritual gifts. Main Sunday service: 10:30am Website: http://elimaberystwyth.com/ Holy Trinity Church: Holy Trinity is a more traditional Anglican church. A few students regularly attend there, and it suits very well those who are looking to go to a smaller Anglican church than St. Mike's and still enjoy good preaching and fellowship within a smaller congregation. Main Sunday services: 8am, 11am and 6pm Website: http://users.aber.ac.uk/jhh/trinity/ St Michael’s (St Mikes): St Mike’s is a lively Anglican church. Worshipping God is central to life at St Mike's. We combine new modern styles of worship with traditional styles and each age group in the church is represented in the leading of worship. The Church leadership is totally committed to preaching, teaching, and, under the influence of the Holy Spirit, attempting to live the Bible and its commands.
