Webinars are an integral part to professional and personal development and without them, we would not be able to educate and better our members. This is why we would like to thank you again for your interest and stress how incredibly important of a role you play in the overall success of the California—Nevada—Hawaii District. Please fill out the following application as thoroughly and honestly as possible. Feel free to extend your answers as much as you feel necessary. One thing to keep in mind is that there will be many more opportunities to be involved in these monthly webinars. All applicants must fill out the basic information and availability sections on the next page and then must complete the Webinar Host Questions that can be found in this document. Even if you are not running for any positions, public speaking is a skill that everyone should be sure to be proficient in! This workshop will teach you how to organize your thoughts for a speech, use proper body language, and effectively communicate to your audience. Resumes and Interviews – It is never too soon to start think about getting a job, but in order to do so you need to know how to sell yourself. This workshop will focus on the purpose of a resume and an interview, how to write an effective resume, how to tailor your resume to the position you are applying for, and basic interview tips for success. Gift Giving for the Holidays– Do you naturally have a hard time picking gifts for your friends and loved ones? Well come join us in this webinar of gift giving! This workshop will teach you how to make easy DIY gifts, suggest types of gifts to pick out, and provide budgeting tips. Other – Don’t see a topic listed here that you are really passionate about? Do not worry! Feel free to pitch any idea that is appropriate to be considered for this month’s webinar. QUESTIONS Please answer the following questions for each webinar you are applying for. Feel free to be as elaborate as you would like. 1) As a webinar host, you are responsible for obtaining and sharing information about your topic. It is also important that you effectively communicate this information with your audience. Please discuss any relevant experiences, skills, or traits that have prepared you both in your webinar topic and in being a webinar host. 2) Given this webinar is over the internet, it is hard to keep the focus of all attendees. What are some ideas you have that may sway from the traditional webinar presentation that would help keep your audience engaged? 3) Please describe the content of your webinar and discuss why you think it is useful to the members of Circle K. 4) Please attach the outline(s) of the presentation(s) for each of the webinars you have selected. 5) Please indicate whether you would be open to working with another member to host this webinar.
