Membership fee of $45 entitles you to the following and a membership form must be filled out.
Admission to the showground for member, 1 guest and members children 4 to 16 years for both
days of the show
Voting rights at the monthly committee meetings plus AGM
Free parking via the main gate for the duration of the show, excluding any ringside reserved parking
LIFE MEMBERS
Membership fee of $250 entitles the member to the same as above, but for the lifetime of the
member.
RESERVED PARKING FEES
Ringside $6.00 GST inclusive per day in addition to usual membership fee, fees are payable on

JUMPING STEWARD:
PLEASE READ THE GENERAL AND HORSE REGULATIONS CAREFULLY. THEY WILL BE STRICTLY
ADHERED TO.
RULES GOVERNING RING EVENTS IN ADDITION TO GENERAL REGULATIONS:
ENTRIES: All entries in horse section to be post entries by ticket. Tickets will be on sale at
the Ring Office. Every horse and rider must have a ticket and this applies in pairs and threes.
All competitors must pay Ground Entrance fee. Competitors must be wearing arm bands to
be able to compete. Arm bands will be given at time of paying Ground Entry Fee or may be
purchased from the Ring Office.
INDEMNITY WAIVER FORMS: All competitors must sign indemnity waiver forms at the Ring
Office when purchasing entry tickets. If competitor is the holder of an approved EFA or
Horse Council of NSW Indemnity Card they are not required to sign the form. They are
required to show these cards.
JUMPING competitors must nominate 1 hour before the event.
NO ENTRY MONEY WILL BE REFUNDED.
ENTRY FEES:
SHOW JUMPING: as per schedule.
TEAM EVENTS: $3:00 PER TEAM.
ALL OTHER EVENTS $3:00 PER EVENT
PRIZE MONEY: All prize money on Ring Events and Clydesdales paid on presentation of
awards. Jumping prize money paid at Main Show Office.
Prize Money unless otherwise stated: 1ST: $5:00, 2ND: $3:00 3RD Ribbon.
ATTIRE:
All competitors must be suitable attired in all events, including led classes.
Regulation Attire: Ladies and Gentleman: Breeches or Jodhpurs, coat & hat or hunting cap.
Children: Jodhpurs, coat, jodhpur boots, and cap.
PROTECTIVE HEAD GEAR RELEVANT TO THE EVENT BEING COMPETED IN, MUST BE WORN
BY COMPETITORS AT ALL TIMES EXERCISE:
The main arena, except the jumping area, will be open for exercise of horses on the morning
of the show until 8:30am.
*NO HORSES ALLOWED ONTO ARENA AFTER 9:30AM DURING THE SHOW UNLESS
APPROVED BY RINGMASTER OR COMPETING IN A CLASS.
Stewards have the right to prohibit from entering any horse or rider they consider unfit to
compete. Competitors cannot leave ring before judging finished. Competitors cannot cross
from one ring to another before judging is finalised.
Approval and position of electric fences must be obtained from the Ring Master or Stable
Steward. After approval has been given they may be erected but NOT powered
GENERAL RULES:
All Stallions must be handled or ridden by a person over the age of 18 years.
All performances at the current Griffith Show will be registered with the RAS Sydney.
Age of Exhibits: The breeding year commences on August 1st each year to determine age of
horses.
Maiden Classes are for horses or ponies that have not won a first prize at an Agricultural
Show in a single horse event.
Local Events are only open to residents within the following local government areas: Griffith
City Council, Murrumbidgee Shire Council, and Carrathool Shire Council (horses must be
owned and stabled within 3 months prior to the show).
Horses are to remain within the stable, channel bank or arena track, weather permitting at
all times.
SHOW JUMPING:
SUNDAY 5th & MONDAY 6th OCTOBER 2014
STEWARD:
Conducted under E.F.A Rules.
Competitors must nominate and pay entry fees one (1) hour before each event. A draw will
then be made and posted on the board in the marshalling yard. Assessment cards to be
produced when entries are made, before entry will be accepted.
GENERAL RULES:
All competitors must wear a coat – summer dress will apply – subject to weather
conditions
Whips must not be weighted nor will they exceed 75cm (30”) in length over all. No
substitute for a whip will be carried in any competition or in the practice arena.
Any breach of this rule will carry the penalty of disqualification.
Spurs, other than dummy spurs must be taped.
In the event of an excess of competitors in any event the committee reserves the right
to limit the amount of rides to each competitor. The number not being less than
two (2)….. Rider notice will be given to the draw being made so that riders may
nominate the desired horses.
Under penalty of elimination practice fences can only be jumped in the correct manner.
Flags will be used.
