MOD COVER SHEET (All Fields Mandatory) EGB03764 Analyst The Integrated Survivability and Lethality Group provides enduring support for Indirect Fire and enabling systems Through Life Capability Management, survivability and vulnerability software development and modelling to associated Project Teams in DE&S, the Weapons Operating Centre, Weapons Evaluation and Capability Assurance (WECA) and the Programme Delivery Directorate. With current pressures on MOD finances the team has an increased requirement to provide technical and analytical support across a range of studies that will provide insights and support into decision making (i.e. ABC 15/16), equipment acquisition, future concept scoping and S&T research planning. This requires Technical Advice, underpinned by knowledge of Industry, IRC and Academia. Additionally the Group is tasked with providing support to reach back and other ad-hoc tasks. Main duties and Responsibilities Create and implement iterative research plan for the project. Work with the project team to ensure user insight is used in product design decisions. Communicate research findings to the project team. Create appropriate models for sharing insight. Assist in the development and upkeep of research repository. Assist in related training and development of others where required. Key Tasks and Deliverables Undertake Operational Analysis and Systems Engineering on high priority studies in support of key Army HQ and DE&S programmes. Experience An understanding of Operational Analysis and its role to inform the decision making process within the MOD with a proven track record of working in OA projects. Experience in Software Development and Modelling Techniques. Experience of undertaking studies through from inception to delivery at the required quality within time and cost constraints. Experience of operational analysis project work employing a variety of hard and soft analysis techniques. Experience of presenting to stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, including written and presentational. Proven experience in partnering with Industry and leading small study teams. Degree or equivalent in a scientific, engineering, mathematics, operational research or other technical subject. Technical training in Systems Analysis/Engineering. Proven experience of operational analysis using a combination of soft and hard techniques and tools.
