Computer science is the study of calculations and techniques and how to apply those techniques in applications of computers. Mathematics and computer science are independent studies. But when put together, a huge amount of development happens. When math and computer science are unified, the theories and methods of computer science become enhanced to a much greater degree than what they used to be. People who work with computers need to be masters in logic, science and mathematics. Logic is used in computer in a way that it can produce an algorithm. Algorithms in math are a list of steps or formula that is needed in order to solve a problem. But in computer science, it is needed in order to tell the computer what to do, when to do it and how to do it.
When mathematics is implemented in any of the sub fields of computer science such as computer graphics, programming languages theory or game programming, a lot of useful, reliable and unbelievable accomplishments can be achieved. For example, mathematics can be applied in computer graphics, which is a sub field of computer science that studies the control of visual information using calculation techniques. Geometry, which is a major branch in mathematics that has to deal with shapes, figures and sizes, is needed in computer graphics because computer graphics depends largely on three dimensional objects that geometry deals with. Another example in which mathematics can be applied to is computer security or information security. Mathematics can result in many applications in computer security such as creating encryption codes and transferring the information secretly.
Mathematics is needed to understand many types of processes that occur every day.
Math is found everywhere such as traffic lights and how the sequence of the colors changes. It is found in the Automated Teller Machine (ATM). Math is needed in cryptology, which is the study of the techniques that can convert any meaningful sentence in unreadable codes, because math can allow the programmer to make up a solution or a program to decipher the codes.
In conclusion, I think that computer science and mathematics can achieve a lot of things independently. But when these two amazing studies unite, they can accomplish even more greatness. Some of the accomplishments of both computer science and math is the development of computer programs, higher and much more realistic graphics, encrypting and decrypting information, organizing data and protecting them and secretly sending them. They also allowed machines to be controlled easier and much more efficiently using a computer. I
also believe that in the future, mathematics and computer science will lead to great achievements together.
