Mission Trip Itinerary/prayer list 2012
My thanks to everyone who will be praying for us on this mission related trip to India.
First, a little background on New Hope’s relationship to NMM (The Native Missionary Movement, India).
New Hope has been involved with NMM since 2003 in northern India. Dr. Joy Punnoose is the president
of NMM, which now has 1400 churches, Bible College(s), Children’s Homes, Schools, and now a surgical
Hospital. Currently there are 250,000 people who are a part of NMM in northern India, and over 1,000
people a month responding to Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
New Hope has raised money to built 18 facilities in northern India (churches, children’s home, hospital,
and land purchases). In addition several other buildings have been paid for by individual members and
families of New Hope.
New Hope currently sponsors 138 children in two separate children’s home through the monthly financial
support of individuals.
Several members of New Hope are a part of the Board of Directors for NMM, Canada, and are helping to
raise awareness across Canada of how people and churches can be involved.
My personal involvement with NMM is to serve on the International Advisory Council, along with Dr. Joy
Punnoose, and share in the process of training and encouraging the leaders and pastors of NMM. In
addition I share in the efforts to raise national (Canada) awareness of the opportunities available to
partner with NMM.
This year I will be joined by Dr. Joy Punnoose, and my son Andrew (videographer) who will be working to
produce a series of documentaries for NMM. We will be travelling to a variety of locations in northern
India to interview people connected to the ministry. The goal of the documentaries will be to highlight
the work and ministry of NMM to distribute across North America to potential churches and people who
may be willing to get involved with NMM.
The documentaries will focus on a variety of topics (persecution, children’s homes, church buildings,
leadership training, medical opportunities, and so on).
While travelling from location to location I will also be teaching in pastors meetings, preaching in
churches, teaching in the Bible College, speaking at an annual conference for two days, and taking part in
the official opening of the new hospital in the Navapur region.
Please pray for…
 Dr. Joy Punnoose will precede me by one week to host a leadership council conference. May he
be lead carefully and effectively by the Holy Spirit.
 my ability to hear the Holy Spirit and communicate effectively in all the teaching/preaching
opportunities
 miracles of healings, salvations, and divine appointments would happen every day
 travel and health safety
 successful interviews for the documentaries
 safe passage through borders and sensitive areas
 safety and protection for all the equipment with us
 that God will enable Andrew to produce captivating video and creative editing that will capture
the ministry of NMM
