($150) for program book, and talent introduction (see next page).
On Feb 15 – proof of raising $100 for Children’s Miracle Network, signed and
notarized contract with all attachments and required documentation, CD with talent
music cut to 90 seconds.

submission may affect my ability to compete in the pageant.

TEEN By Feb 1 – resume, essay, photograph, and entry fee ($75, less application fee),
talent introduction (see next page). Teens are not required to sell program ads, but
it is highly encouraged. All ads should be turned in by this day.

contract with all attachments and required documentation, CD with talent music cut
to 90 seconds.

Ad sales: JPEG or PDF layout of ad must be emailed by February 1 to
director@misslascruces.com. Payment for ads must be mailed to Miss Las Cruces Pageant,
c/o Aleiha DiRenzo, 1373 Beltran Road, Las Cruces NM 88007; must be postmarked by Feb.
1. Checks should be made to Miss Las Cruces. Arrangements for credit cards payments or
Pay Pal can be made.
The contestant – teen or miss – who sells the most ads in the program will receive a cash
award.
Talent introduction: This should be emailed to director@misslascruces.com after you
submit your application and by February 1. Introductions may be edited.
In no more than 60 words, please write your introduction (name does not count!). Be sure
to include the title of your music – short and sweet is best!
Examples:
Renowned blues and gospel singer Etta James was still touring in 2006 at the age of 68! She is
best known for her 1961 ballad “at last” which has been classified as a timeless classic and has
been featured in numerous movies and commercials since its release. With her rendition is
contestant #1………….Susie Jones
Multi-award winning Australian singer-songwriter, actress and pianist Delta Goodrem signed
with Sony music at the tender age of 15. Her 2003 album “innocent eyes” contains the single
“born to try.” Performing a modern lyrical dance to that beautiful song is contestant
#2…………Allison Smith.
Acting and performing have always been amongst the interests of our next contestant. Inspired
by events in her own life she was drawn to the character of Emily in the monologue “Daddy’s
Laugh” by Kelly Campell. Please welcome contestant #3….Donna Fleck.
