Barr-Reeve Scholarship Foundation Honor Scholarships
Award:
Varies; Renewable each year provided student re-applies each year and
maintains a minimum 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. This is an honor scholarship in
which students are asked to re-pay their award (once they are able to) so that
the funds may be replenished for future graduates.

Must be a graduating senior of Barr-Reeve High School with a 2.0/4.0 after seven
semesters, an acceptable school attendance record, and must be planning to
attend an accredited college, university or vocational program. A copy of the
student’s letter of acceptance or statement of fees must be provided before
funds will be distributed to student. Applications are available from Mr.
Kavanaugh, President of the BRSF.

The Frank and Margaret Arvin Family Educational Assistance Trust and the Dallas K. Canolty
Scholarship
Award:
Varies. Past award amounts have ranged from $250-$1,000. This is a one-time
non-renewable award for Barr-Reeve seniors.

Criteria:
Must be a Barr-Reeve senior with a 2.0 cumulative grade point average after 7
semesters of high school and plan to attend an accredited college or vocational
school on a full-time basis, file a FAFSA by the March 10th receipt deadline, and
must apply for the award. Applications are available in the Guidance Office.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship
Award:
Full tuition, required fees, and an annual stipend of up to $900

Must be a resident of Daviess County, a graduate of an accredited Daviess

Criteria:
Graduating seniors residing or attending high school in Indiana who have been
involved in productions featured at the Veale Creek Theatre in Washington,
Indiana, during their high school years. If there are an insufficient number of
applicants in a given year, applications will be accepted from performing arts
students who have not had prior involvement with the Veale Creek Theatre. To

Daviess County Right to Life Donna Gentry Memorial Scholarship

Criteria:
Must be a graduating high school senior in Daviess County who will be attending
college in the Fall of 2013. In the case of advanced students, non-traditional
students, or home schooled students, the student will need to verify they will be
attending college Fall 2013. Students must be from Daviess County or attending
a high school in Daviess County. Applicants are to research, write, and present
an original pro-life essay developed from the theme: “What is happening to
America because of Abortion”. Applications are available in the guidance office

2013 Daviess Community Hospital Foundation Health Careers Scholarship

Healthcare; Eligible careers include, but are not limited to, Audiologist, Certified
Nursing Assistant, Dietitian, Emergency Medical Technician, Laboratory
Technician, Medical Assistant, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Occupational Therapist,
Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Physical Therapist, Physician and Surgeon,
Physician Assistant, Radiologic Technician, Recreational Therapist, Respiratory

lives in Daviess, Martin, or Pike counties and will be attending an accredited

of Daviess Community Hospital full and part time employees may also apply and
reside outside the hospital’s service area. An additional $500 nursing scholarship
is available to a student pursuing a nursing degree, in honor of Helen Arthur.

Criteria:
To be eligible, students’ home phone number must start with 388, 444, 486, 644,
or 687. Must be a graduating high school senior, U. S. Citizen, be sponsored by a
current NTCA member (local RTC office), be accepted at an accredited two or
four-year college, university, or vocational school, have a 2.0/4.0 GPA, and
express an interest to return to a rural community following graduation. Must
fill out an application and have it signed by the RTC Communications office
before it is mailed to the FRS. Applications available online at

Rotary Club of Washington Scholarship

Applicant must attend a postsecondary institution in Indiana. The scholarship
selection committee, comprised of members of the Rotary Club of Washington,
will select one scholarship winner per each school. The selection will be based

junior, or senior year of college; demonstrate a commitment to community
service and provide documentation of the service; may be not an employee of
ONB or its subsidiaries or an employee’s immediate family member; may not be
