Voting for Homecoming attendants and Homecoming queen candidates will take place on Monday,
September 9, during lunch shifts. 9th – 11th graders will elect 1 attendant. 12th graders will vote for 3
ladies to be candidates.
Nominees are:

10th Grade – Megan Butner, Bayleigh Butner, Chalee Britt
11th Grade – Rebecca Nelson, Lauren Brown, Kyra Oliver
12th Grade – Katy Stoecklein, Kayla Saltsgaver, Chelsea Cook, Emily Jennings, Ashlyn Schubert
School pictures are scheduled to be taken Wednesday, September 18.
The 6th Annual Powder Puff game will be held on Wednesday, September 25th, at 7:00 p.m. on Hugh
Dunn Field. You can sign up to play until September 13 in Mrs. Dwiggins’ room (Room 150) before or
after school. Cost to play is $12 which includes a t-shirt. If you don’t want to play, you can still order a tshirt for $12 to support your class. Admission to the game for spectators will be $3 or two canned food
items to be donated to the local food pantry. All participants must attend one of the mandatory
meetings to be eligible to play. Meetings will be held at the following times in Mrs. Dwiggins’ room:

Any freshman that ordered a yearbook their 8th grade year needs to go the middle school office to pick
it up as soon as possible.
All FCCLA dues need to be turned in by September 27th to attend chapter meetings during school,
Regional Meeting or the Tan-Tara trip.

The ASVAB will be administered once this year—on Tuesday, September 24. All sophomores will take
it at that time. If seating allows, upperclassmen may also test on that day. Any junior or senior who
wishes to take the test needs to sign up in the Career Center Counselor’s Office (Room 182C) by Friday,
September 6.
Any senior student who has a medical, physical, educational, or mental disability may be eligible for
services and/or financial assistance for post-secondary training or employment through Vocational
Rehabilitation. This can include college tuition. For information on applying to this agency, please
contact Mrs. Vicki Hall in the Career Center, room 170C (next to the elevator).
