The goal of the College and Career Readiness Coordinator is to provide aligned and strategic support to all I2020 campuses through:
College Spotlight: In an effort to introduce our students to various types of colleges, a different college will be spotlighted each
month for the campus to use in campus-based college readiness activities and discussions


Every month a different college will be spotlighted, and all campuses will receive a Monthly College Spotlight Newsletter
which will give fun facts about the chosen college/university
We encourage you to share this information with your students and use this as an opportunity to build a college-going
culture at your campus
College Café Corner: As part of the College Spotlight Program, each campus has the opportunity to host a College Café Corner during
their lunch period for selected grade levels. College specific (aligned to the College Spotlight) and general college information will be
provided



High School: 1 College Café per month
Middle School: 2 College Cafés per semester
Elementary School: 1 College Café per semester
College Campus Visits: To increase a college going culture, certain grade levels will be targeted to travel to various college campuses


High school campuses will have the opportunity to take their juniors on college campus trips paid for from the I2020 Budget
The CCR Coordinator will help any campus organize college trips, but campuses are responsible for funding these trips
Parent, Student, and Faculty/Staff College Presentations: To close the knowledge gap surrounding college, all campuses will have
the opportunity for the CCR Coordinator to speak to parents, students, and faculty/staff about various topics pertaining to college
readiness



High School and Middle School: 1 parent presentation per semester
Elementary School: 3 parent presentations per year
All student and faculty/staff presentations will be by request
Career Day Support: In order to provide a robust and varied selection of speakers, the CCR Coordinator will assist in procuring
Career Day Speakers


All campuses will receive support as they create their Career Days
The CCR coordinator will support in finding speakers for the event, but the campus is responsible for all logistics
surrounding the event
Perot Museum: In an effort to provide TEK-aligned curriculum support, each school will have the opportunity to participate in a field
trip to the Perot Museum as well as outreach services to augment their science education programs. The following is paid for by
Imagine 2020:



All 5th and 8th grade students to attend the Perot Museum as part of a field trip
Each high school to select 1 group or grade level to attend the Perot Museum as part of a field trip
Any remaining funding will be split between all campuses based on enrollment numbers and campuses may choose the
services they would like to receive
