In this activity, you will be a meteorologist for a day. You will gather weather data for a city and then
present a weather report to the class based on that data.
Step 1
Gather data for a weather report
On the Internet Explorer, go to this site: http://www.weather.com/.
In the Local Forecast search area, type in the name of the city you are researching.
Go to http://www.infoplease.com/toptens/10-best-metro-areas.html for city name ideas.
Gather data for your weather report. Be sure to include:
 National Current conditions
o Temperatures
o Rain and Snow Forecast-Doppler Radar
o Wind/Gust Measurements


to be a great week coming up because the temperatures are nice and warm. If, you want to go
outside this week, take your sun glasses and wear a nice tee shirt because it will be hot. Maybe
you might go to the beach for a picnic and some water skiing. Have a great time enjoying the
warm weather to come.
