ACDI (Advisory Council for District Initiatives)
ACDI is the main vehicle for strategic planning in District 54. This council acknowledges and supports ideas for instructional
change prior to presentation to the School Board. ACDI serves as a channel of communication by encouraging new ideas and
providing a framework for them to become a reality. ACDI members are involved in the planning of new, innovative ideas.
Member Responsibilities
1. Attend monthly meetings on an as-needed basis. (Third or fourth Monday of the month, September through May, at
5:00 p.m.)
2. Communicate with and fairly represent your constituent group.
3. Assist/mentor in fully developing instructional initiatives.
4. Commit to three (3) years of ACDI membership.
Budget Review Committee
The Budget Review committee, consisting of board members, staff, and community members, meets for the purpose of
obtaining input on the acquisition and allocation of resources.
Member Responsibilities
1. Participate in discussions on school finance.
2. Attend two meetings. (Thursday, January 7, 2016 and Thursday, May 5, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.)
DCAC (District Citizens’ Advisory Committee)
DCAC is a School Board committee made up of parents, community representatives and staff. DCAC provides input to the
School Board on District topics and promotes education and community involvement.
Member Responsibilities
1. Attend monthly meetings. (Second Thursday of the month, September-May, at 9:00 a.m.)
2. Provide input to School Board on District topics.
3. Share information with your school/community.
