Marshall, son of Mr. & Mrs. Howard Marshall. To the strains of Lohengrin’s wedding march, played by Mrs. Clarence Riddle, the bride proceeded down the aisle on the arm of her cousin, John Bonnart, who gave her in marriage. The bride was lovely attired in a gown of white lace, made princess style, her veil was shoulder length, gloves of white lace, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses. Miss Ruth Trudal, sister of the bride served as bridesmaid and was attired in a blue lace dress made similar to the bride’s, having a short silk jacket and pink sash. She carried yellow roses. Luther Marshall served his brother as best man. Rev. Koonce officiated, using the single ring ceremony. Mrs. Koonce sand I Love You Truly. Following the ceremony, a dinner and reception were held in the home of the bride. The table decorated in blue and white centered with a huge three-tiered wedding cake. Guests were present from Alabama, Pittsburgh, Painesville, Ohio and Enon Valley. According to History.com, the real St. Patrick was born in Great Britain. He was kidnapped and taken to Ireland as a teenager by Irish raiders. He worked enslaved as a shepherd for six years before escaping back to Britain. There, he later experienced a religious dream telling him to go back to Ireland to teach the Christian faith. He returned after first finishing 15 years in religious training. The original St. Patrick's Day was a religious day in Ireland to honor him for bringing Christianity to the country. March 17 was chosen, because it is the date of St. Patrick's death in the fifth century and a religious feast day. (Source: Connie Whiting, ehow.com) IRISH PRAYER. May the road rise up to meet you.
