There are numerous websites related to the Unit. The best way to save time and locate educationally evaluated
websites is to utilize the website finder found on the Office of Library Information Services homepage.
Go to the BCPS homepage.
Click “Offices”
Click “Library Information Services, Office of”
Click “Databases/e-Books”
Click “Discoverer Webfind”
Click “Discoverer Webfind Web Sites for Kids”
Type in search words to locate appropriate websites.
This site will also give newspaper, magazine, and reference articles and pictures. The articles are all rated on their
reading level.
Check with your school librarian to locate and/or hold books. We have worked with Library Information Services
and they have purchased books for your classroom use. We will continually evaluate the books to determine new
selections that will be useful for this unit.
