Weekly Report PRCS’ Operations Room Main events monitored by PRCS’ Operation Room from 22 to 28 June 2011:- Israeli Army Attacks During this week, Ahmad Ali Mahmoud (36 years old) was injured by live bullets, and is suffering face and head injuries after being beaten by Israeli Occupation forces in East Jerusalem. He is currently in the "Sha’ariya Tasdiq" Hospital. In Gaza Strip, the Operations Room recorded the injury of Husam Hamdan (3 and half years old) from shrapnel in the head as a result of a bomb explosion in west of Khan Younis. On another level, the Israeli occupation forces plowed 100 graves from the historical Islamic cemetery (Ma’manillah) in Jerusalem and have loaded these graves unto several trucks. This is similar to the operation in Wadi Rababeh in Silwan where all regional features where demolish, and agricultural land was leveled in preparation for the establishment of the Talmud Gardens. In another incident, the Israeli occupation forces have demolished several mining factories in the village of Bart’a which have resulted in the loss of materials worth one million and half sheckles. On the other hand, Palestinian agricultural land has been sabotaged by the Israeli occupation forces. In Jabal Manooh (Hebron Governorate), the Israeli occupation forces have leveled about 3 dunums of agricultural land that belong to citizen Hussein Arfa’iyeh, in order to set up an Israeli helicopter landing space. Many agricultural water pipes were sabotaged by the occupation forces in the area of Buq’a (north east of Hebron), many plants were also leveled in that area. In a separate incident, the occupation forces have leveled much land from Deir Astiya/Salfit, and have uprooted 300 olive trees. Also, in Bethlehem, the Israeli occupation forces have demolished the area of Rishadiya/Bethlehem; where they have demolish the only water well that 30 families depend on for drinking and grazing in that area. The Israeli occupation forces continued raiding Palestinian towns and villages this week. They raided the village of Yasouf \ Salfit and took pictures of the Abu Zard shrine. They also took pictures of the Old city of Hebron. In a separate event, the occupation forces have enforced a blockade on the town of Iraq Bordin (Nablus), declaring it a closed military area. Additionally, the Israeli occupation forces continued arresting Palestinians throughout the Occupied Palestinian territory. Waseem Bader (16) was arrested in Bi’r Ayoub (East Jerusalem), while Ibrahim Khaled Balati (16) and Mohammad Salama Jundi (17) were arrested in Urub refugee camp. Moreover, Muhammad Bajid Jaradat (16) was arrested in Sa’eer (Hebron Governorate). The Operation Room has recorded the arrest of 4 Palestinian citizens in the governorates of Ramallah and Bethlehem, several others in Silwan (East Jerusalem) and 5 Palestinians in the village of Azoon (Qalqilya). Continuous Attacks by settlers The Operation Room has monitored several separate incidents linked to the settlers and their continuous attacks on Palestinians and their properties. A group of settlers from “Sousia settlement” (west of Yata/Hebron) have attacked and threw stones at Palestinians residing in that area. In another incident, the settlers have prevented Palestinian farmers and their supporters (Israeli and international activists) from working in their lands (500m away from the settlement). Car accidents The Operations room recorded 7 Palestinians were injured in car accidents in West Bank Governorates, as follows: 4 injuries in Anata, 3 in the Governorate in Bethlehem. PRCS teams provided First Aid in the field to the injured, and transporting them to different hospitals afterwards.
