The USC Institute for Integrative Health and The Keck School of Medicine of USC Department of Dermatology invite you to a Lecture Event By: Dr. Howard Murad "An Integrated Cellular Strategy for Optimizing Whole Body Health" Thursday, August 29 1 p.m. ARESTY AUDITORIUM Harlyne J. Norris Research Tower (NRT) 1450 Biggy Street, Lower Ground Level Los Angeles, CA 90033 Dr. Murad reviews theoretical and clinical advances in anti-aging. His remarks will include an exploration of the relationship between the health of the cell and the health of every major system in the body. He will review the connection between health and the cell’s ability to hold water as well as the ways in which internal and external aggressors can undermine that ability. He will also discuss how application of Inclusive Health, as a philosophy to guide care, can protect and promote the integrity of every cell in the body. He will also include a brief overview of new anti-aging technologies and review cases from his clinical trials to demonstrate how an Inclusive Health approach to care of the whole person can result in a lower apparent age. Howard Murad graduated from the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy with a BS in Pharmacy in 1962 and received his Medical degree in from the University of California at Irvine in 1966. Dr. Murad completed his internship at the Long Island Jewish Queens Hospital Center before a two year tour of duty as a Medical Officer in the U.S. Army. He was awarded a Bronze Star during his tour. After a dermatology residency at the UCLA Wadsworth VA Hospital, Dr. Murad started his private practice and was certified by the American Board of Dermatology in 1973. He has served on the teaching faculty of the Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA since 1974 and has been an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine (Dermatology) since 2003.
