Riders may go solo or as a pair. No time section. No entries after 10.45am. Rosette for a clear round. CLASS 2 – RIDERS 12 YEARS AND UNDER (ages taken on the day) Course as Class 1. Rosettes to 6th place plus prizes in kind CLASS 3 – PAIRS Course as Class 1. Any combination – children and adults. Rosettes to 6th place plus prizes in kind CLASS 4 – SMALL OPEN Course as Class 1. For adults and children. Rosettes to 6th place plus prizes in kind CLASS 5 – NOVICES For adults and children. Horse and rider together must not have been placed first in any Hunter Trial. Jumps 0.7-0.75cm approx. Rosettes to 6th place plus prizes in kind. CLASS 6 – RIDERS 13 - 21 YEARS (ages taken on the day). Course as Class 5. Rosettes to 6th place plus prizes in kind. CLASS 7 – OPEN For adults and children. Jumps not to exceed 90cms. Rosettes to 6th place plus prizes in kind. Classes 1-4: Yellow course. Classes 5 & 6: Green course. Class 7: Blue course. Classes 2 – 7 include a timed section. The course will be open to walk from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesday 30th October 2013. All entries taken on the day. Any error of the course not corrected will result in elimination. 2) Three attempts only will be allowed at each fence, after which the rider must move onto the next fence. Failure to observe this rule will result in elimination. 3) All riders must wear hard hats to the BSI Kite marked PAS 015, BSEN 1384 or ASTM F1163 standard with chin straps fastened at all times when mounted. In addition all competitors must wear an approved body/back protector. Earring should not be worn. 4) Competitors may exercise only in the area provided and will only proceed to the course when called. Due care and attention for our own and others safety must be considered while in the collecting area. 5) Competitors must not impede following competitors. They must move to the side to let them pass. 6) Competitors must return numbers to the Secretary. Competitors failing to do this will be liable for the replacement cost. 7) The landowners have kindly donated you the use of their land please show your respect by taking all of your rubbish home with you. 8) The organisers reserve the right to:a) Alter the advertised times b) Refuse entries with or without reasons c) Eliminate rider not adhering to the rules or failing to follow the directions of officials d) Retire any distressed rider or horse at their discretion e) Eliminate any reckless, careless or dangerous riders. Parents are held responsible to inform young riders of this rule f) Alter the course and leave out any obstacle before or during the competition 9) The organisers, The West Norfolk Hunt, have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of riders, horses and everybody present, but the organisers do not accept liability for any accident or damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, riders, owners, grooms, ground spectators or any other person or property on the ground, whether caused by Negligence, breach of contract any other way whatsoever. All vehicles are parked at owner’s own risk. No responsibility is accepted for damage to or loss from vehicles parked on the premises. 10) The organiser’s decision is final. All complaints are to be accompanied by £50 which will be returned if the complaint is upheld. Decisions of the complaint will be notified in writing by the organisers. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Save for death or personal injury caused by negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of any event to which these rules apply, nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, vehicles and tear contents and accessories or any person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.
