New Student & Parent
Orientation
Cavallini Counselors and the Cardinal
Ambassadors held a New Student and
Parent Orientation on Wednesday,
September 3rd at 1:00 pm in the CMS
Media Center.
The Orientation included an in-depth
power point on all of the academic
programs, extracurricular activities
and sport programs offered at CMS.

Welcome New Students!
The CMS Counselors along with the Cardinal Ambassadors
would like to welcome the following 6th Grade Students:
Athena Georgiades, Samantha Kerner, Nicholas Weber, Richa
Tolani, Lucas Kim, Michael Arencibia, Shayna Silberman,
Alberto Ribe, and Emma Carter. Our new 7th Graders are:
Joseph Meehan, Jahaan Tobaccowalla, and Nikhil Kalra. Our
8th Graders include: Logan Mayne, Madison Scalia-Harris,
Gary Mylson, Quinn Cater and Varun Kumar.

Respect Week

The Counselors are
holding a New
Student Pizza
Party on 9/19.

is from October
13th to October 17th.
The Counselors along with the
Cardinal Ambassadors directed two
student-based activities. One was a
session where the new students and
CMS Ambassadors had to participate
in an “Interest Inventory”. The other
was titled “Sunflower Project” where
students were encouraged to share a
special talent or character attribute that
makes them unique. At the conclusion
of the program Ambassadors and
Counselors provided tours of CMS.

Tour Guides for September Orientation
We want to thank the following Cardinal Ambassadors
for giving up their last day of summer vacation to
support us: Matthew James, Gabby Layne, Taylor
Bechtel, Francesca Black, Mary Farlese, Nicole
Alexander, Mackenzie Van Dam, Emily Bookstaver,
George Shammas, Alyssa Papilla, and Ava
Richardson.
New Student Pizza Party
New Students to Upper Saddle River were treated to a
Pizza Party sponsored by the Cardinal Ambassadors
and hosted by the Counselors. Ambassadors were on
hand to help with the party and to answer questions.
What is the Cardinal Ambassador Program?
School Counselors, Mrs. Donnelly and Mrs. Uzar run
the Cardinal Ambassador Program. All students are
welcome to be a part of this special program. Students
involved help with school wide programs such as New
Student/Parent Orientation, 6th Grade
Parent/Student Orientation, Plan Mix it Up Events,
Organize RRW & Respect Week and participate in
Monthly Character Education Themes.
