Meeting all AASHTO, ASTM, & EN14769 Standards with ease & operational efficiency. The
light-weight, compact unit demonstrates the excellence in engineering design and quality.
The 9500 PAV is the only unit designed for easy access & operation from any STANDARD
30" laboratory countertop. 100% USA manufactured, a locally supplied air source
(bottled/compressed air) completes the process needed for aging bitumen.
Pressure Vessel:
All-Stainless Steel vertical vessel with hinged lid; Designed, Manufactured, Tested &
Stamped in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division
1 for 350 psig @ 300oF [2.45 MPa @ 148oC]

Failure to achieve initial pressure of at least 2.00MPa

[a] Pressure >design limit of 2.45MPa or < set-point by more than 0.10MPa.
[b] Over-temperature condition [in excess of 150oC] with power cut off to oven.

Air Regulation and Inlet System
The Model 9500 PAV is furnished with regulator on domestic unit and ALL units ship with
adaptors for standard industrial compressed air cylinders, 6’ foot stainless over braided
connecting hose with female quick-disconnect, and mating male quick-disconnect on rear of
PAV System Cabinet.
Pressure Safety Release
Spring-Loaded Relief Valve calibrated to release pressure at 350 psig installed
PAV Exhaust
Air muffler supplied installed; Adaptor for venting provided but not factory installed.
Certification of Calibration
Factory calibration furnished with N.I.S.T. traceable Certificate of Calibration.
Air Requirements: Local laboratory or commercially furnished bottled/compressed air is
required to complete the PAV process. The required air pressure is 2.2 - 2.4 MPa (22 - 24 bar).

Prentex Model 9500A = 100-125v AC, 50-60Hz, 10A (Domestic)
Prentex Model 9500E = 208-240v AC, 50-60Hz, 5A (Export)
Cabinet: Stainless Steel construction - Dimensions: 25½ “x 17" X 17" high;
Requires only 31" overhead clearance for cabinet lid opening
