Professional solutions for visualization and signal transmission in
control rooms
eyevis presents innovations at Intertraffic 2014
Professional displays and solutions for intelligent networking in traffic control rooms presents
eyevis from 25–28 March 2014 at Intertraffic in Amsterdam at booth 11.508. Additional to the
new high-res LED moduls with 2 mm pixel pitch eyevis shows the new EPU LCD displays. In
the EPU displays all image processing electronics are integrated into the display. In
combination with the new eyeCON MetaWall 2.0 concept the construction and operation of
virtually unlimited video walls and display installations on basis of standard IP networks is
possible. The new seamless stackable 55’‘ LCD dispaly from the XSN series stand out
through a small bezel of only 3.7 mm. 24/7 ready display characteristics paired with several
new features for the electronics make the new EYE-LCD-5500-XSN-LD a first choice for
modern video walls. Furthermore, eyevis presents a 4K/ultra HD display with 84‘‘ and the
new netPIX 4900 graphics controller. With new input and output cards the new netPIX makes
input and output processing of 4K/ultra HD signals possible.
High-res LED modules: conciving for indoor video walls
eyevis presents high resolution LED modules with the proven eyevis high quality image
processing for demanding applications. Thanks to the high resolution (2 mm pixel pitch), the
professional image processing and the robust housing the LED modules are perfectly
suitable for permanent installations – as a commercial display or large scale information wall
in train stations or airports. With a brightness of up to 1.500 cd/m², a refresh rate of 2,500 Hz
and 16 Bit colour depth the LEDs offer perfect visibility of the displayed content even in bright
ambient light conditions. The calibration also guarantees long-term stability for the
representation of brightness and colours. The product design of the LED modules enables
the installation of seamless video walls. With the high pixel density 250.000px/m² it is
possible to display full HD signals in native resolution even on smaller video wall surfaces.
Displays with integrated image processing for flexible video wall applications
For the first time eyevis shows the new displays with integrated image processing power type
EYE-LCD-xx00-LE-EPU. Together with eyeCON MetaWall the new displays permit the
possibility to install flexible and unlimited video walls and single displays based on a standard
network. eyeCON MetaWall enables an uncomplicated network architecture for the signal
distribution and the control of the content. Thanks to the new build in concept of the image
processing which is integrated in the eyePorcessing Unit (EPU) of each display a simple
installation without complicated wiring or additional graphics controllers is possible. Since it is
possible to integrate EPU-displays as well as video wall displays that are controlled through
graphics controllers into the system, integrators receive unforeseen flexibility. All components
can be combined with each other as needed. For the customer this guarantees a maximum
efficacy, efficiency and benefit. Moreover, eyeCON MetaWall can be easily integrated into

already existing systems. eyeCON MetaWall further provides the possibility expand the
system without any limitations.
Extra narrow bezel LCDs for seamless and modular video walls
For seamless modular video walls eyevis presents robust and stackable extra narrow bezel
LCD screens with a smallest bezel of only 3.7 mm between neighbouring displays. The
showcased displays type EYE-LCD-5500-M-XSN-LD provide full HD resolution with 1920 x
1080 Pixels on a 55-inch screen, Direct-LED backlight technology for best brightness of 700
cd/m² and high contrast of 3500:1, which makes them perfectly suitable even for larger video
walls in demanding applications. The robust design and the optionally available stacking
frame allow for a simple and precise installation of video walls without a necessity for
additional complex mounting parts.
4K/ultra HD displays for high-res image representation
Highest resolution on a large display is possible with the 4K/ultra HD LCD display from
eyevis, type EYE-LCD-8400-QHD-LE, with a screen diagonal of 84‘‘ and an ultra HD
resolution of 3.840 x 2.160 pixels. With Edge-LED backlight (84‘‘) and the high brightness the
ultra HD display offers a homogeneous illumination as well as brilliant colour, contrast and
image features even within high ambient light conditions. For the display signal supply eyevis
has developed its own special technical solution with DVI-D inputs (four times DVI-D single
link or two times DVI-D dual link). Combined with professional high performance graphic
cards it is possible to create a high-resolution visual display system at a competitive price.
New netPIX 4900 Sets Standards for Graphic Controllers
The requirements for AV technology in control and conference rooms become more and
more extensive. Due to increasingly complex tasks and growing data formats the volume of
transmitted data increases as well. The new netPIX 4900 graphic controller sets performance
standards for the operation of video walls and the signal transmission in this field. With new
input and output cards, a new Switch-Fabric-Backplane and an optimized housing concept
the new netPIX 4900 makes input and output processing of 4K/ultra HD signals and the
transmission of audio via HDMI possible. Moreover, maintainability and service have been
improved which lowers downtimes. Depending on the requirements eyevis with the netPIX
4900 and the netPIX 4900 Plus provides two different sizes of the graphic controller.
Even More User-Friendly: Active-Directory-Support in Wall Management Software
eyeCON
With the current version update the eyeCON V5.1 wall management software becomes even
more user-friendly. With the new active directory support eyeCON V5.1 can better be
integrated into existing network and user structures. Due to the active directory support
existing user rights can directly be transferred to the rights management of the eyeCON V5.1
software. Group assignments, authorizations, hierarchical structuring or areas on the large

scale video wall can be freely defined for each user. Authorized users who have registered
on their computer can directly open and control eyeCON V5.1 without having to register once
again.
Due to the complete network integration of the eyeCON V5.1 software flexible control of
large scale image systems, control of all connected sources and the distribution of
information in control and presentation rooms are possible, too. In this way eyeCON V5.1 is
completely based on client/server technology which makes all information in the network
globally accessible and thus offers the possibility to exchange this information between
displays, large scale video walls and workstations. Even beyond local facilities all information
and sources are accessible. The integration of eyevis eStreaming solutions furthermore
makes all sources (analogue, RGB, DVI, HDSDI, HDMI etc.) available in the network and
makes the distribution to the single reproducers easier.
